On arrival I need easy access to unload equipment and a parking space within easy walking distance. I need a performance space of 2 metres squared with access to a power socket. I also need a chair providing, preferably without arms.
All equipment required is provided.
If clients can let me know of any issues there might be finding the venue (if the postcode doesn't take you there for example) and details of where to unload equipment and parking. If clients are wanting me to play outdoors they will also need to check with the venue that they have a licence for both live and recorded music to be played outdoors.
I am able to play a playlist in between sets if required.
I played for a few years in a row at the RHS flower show at Chatsworth house. It was always a great gig to have, a great atmosphere, performing multiple sets a day alongside other musicians.
I have a very eclectic taste in music and enjoy listening to all types of music. My favourite song varies depending on my mood. I couldn't pinpoint a single song.
I started gigging at the age of 15 with some friends from youth orchestra. We went busking and were asked to play gigs by passers by. I gigged all through college and University to help pay for training and then decided that I wanted to do that professionally and so I set up my business. I have played hundreds of Weddings over the years but I get just as much enjoyment from doing it now as when I started. I like the journey from first meeting, going through the excitement of organising through to playing as they walk in. It's always a privilege to be part of someone's Wedding day.
I have performed at Weddings, parties, corporate events, concerts, shows and sessions. I have also played for King Charles and his sister Princess Anne. I find all events enjoyable to perform at, it's always nice to have variation!
I arrive 1 hour before the performance time to set up and warm up. For a 1 hour booking I play through without a break. For bookings of 2 hours or more I play in 55 minute sets. Breaks can be timed to fit in with things such as group photographs, speeches etc.
I am happy to play outside weather depending. On a particularly sunny day I would need a shaded spot to sit in. I don't play outside in wet conditions.
All clients are given a repertoire list prior to the booking and are asked to choose what repertoire they would like to hear. For a Wedding ceremony I would ask them to pick all of it. For all other bookings I say pick as much as you would like. If there is anything you definitely want to hear or definitely don't want to hear then let me know.
I have a lot of testimonials and reviews from clients that has always been positive. Most clients say that I am professional, easy to work with and that I can create a romantic and emotional atmosphere that adds the finishing touches to their Wedding day.
