We are very happy to perform unobtrusive background music as guests are assembling. There is no charge if this an integral part of the evening.
We can on request play clients' music from a playlist on a iPod, phone, tablet etc. through our system either as a "first dance" "background music" or for a "disco" at the interval or end of the evening. This is free of charge as long as it finishes no later that 12:30am.

Use of equipment , keyboard and microphone for speeches, singers etc. free of charge. We DO NOT attempt to comment over system played music and we DO NOT supply disco lighting.

About / Biography

With over 30 years experience including their appearance in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Craigi Ceilidh Band with their on-the-floor caller are an ideal choice for your wedding, reeling party, Ceilidh or Scottish Country Dance.

Under the leadership of two brothers from the North of Scotland, they are able to provide up to six musicians (fiddle, accordion, piano, drums) for your event.

Past engagements include a Ceilidh at Windsor Castle, reeling parties at The Dorchester and The Savoy.

From small family parties to large corporate events, this band is flexible to accommodate your needs and to ensure a memorable experience.

What are your basic technical requirements?

Accessible power socket.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We bring our own PA System to all our gigs. We have a simple lighting system that we can use.

The name and postcode


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can play from your playlist through our system. We do not do voice-over.
We are happy to play live incidental music before and during breaks.

The band has been around for over 40 years and we have all played with other bands before and since.

We are a family based group and we have a regular pool of players of about 15 strong.

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive about 75 minutes before the start.

We can play for as long or as short as the client wants.
Typically one 75m min set a break then another 60 min set.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes
During COVID lock down we di 43 gigs outside in temperature between 5 and 35 degrees Celcius
