Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

A safe, level performance area with access to a standard 13A power socket nearby. I’m fully self-contained and require relatively little space as a solo performer. For outdoor performances, suitable cover from rain and direct weather is required.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes. I’m fully self-contained and provide my own professional PA system, microphones, guitar amplification and performance lighting where required.

What information do you require about a venue?

It’s helpful to know where I’ll be performing, access and load-in arrangements, nearby parking, power availability and whether the venue has a sound limiter. For outdoor events, I’ll also need to know what weather cover is available.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. I can provide background playlists before and between my live sets, tailored to suit the atmosphere of the event. This isn’t intended as a full DJ service, although extended playlist coverage can be discussed in advance.

What areas do you cover?

I’m based in the North West and regularly perform across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. I’m also happy to travel throughout the UK or Internationally for suitable bookings, with any additional travel costs agreed clearly in advance.

What kind of music do you perform?

My repertoire covers soul, pop, R&B, Motown, indie and classic favourites, with songs by artists ranging from Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder to Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Oasis, Amy Winehouse and many more. I give familiar songs a warm, soulful acoustic feel while adapting the set to the occasion.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

It's difficult to choose just one, but one of my favourite gigs was supporting SPACE at The Old Courts in my hometown of Wigan. I've been lucky enough to perform at some brilliant venues over the years too, with places such as Titanic Hotel in Liverpool being a particular standout.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My influences are pretty broad, ranging from Bill Withers, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder through to Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Coldplay and more contemporary soul and alternative artists. That mix of soul, pop, R&B and songwriting definitely comes through in the way I reinterpret songs acoustically. Choosing one greatest song of all time is almost impossible!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've been performing live for over 15 years, starting out in the local music scene around Wigan and gradually building up experience across hundreds of performances throughout the UK. Since then I've performed at weddings, private events, bars, festivals and live music venues, alongside developing my own original artist project. That breadth of experience has made me very comfortable adapting a set to completely different audiences and occasions.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I enjoy any event where there's a real connection with the audience, but weddings are particularly special because the music becomes part of such an important day. I love being able to move between intimate moments like a ceremony or drinks reception and something much more upbeat later on when everyone is ready to celebrate.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I usually allow around 60–90 minutes for setup, depending on the venue and access. A typical booking is 2 x 45 minute live sets, although timings can be tailored to suit the event, and ceremony or full-day wedding packages follow a different schedule.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, absolutely. I’m happy to perform outdoors provided there is a safe, level performance area and suitable cover from rain, strong wind and direct weather. Access to power may also be required depending on the setup.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients are very welcome to choose favourites from my repertoire and let me know the kind of atmosphere they want. I’ll then shape the final set around those preferences while keeping the music flowing naturally. I can also learn a small number of special songs in advance, such as an aisle song or first dance.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients often mention the atmosphere I create and how personal the music feels to their day. I've been described as professional and easy to work with, with couples particularly valuing the way I tailor songs to their tastes, interact with guests and make moments like the aisle entrance or first dance feel really special.

Can you learn a special song for our wedding or event?

Yes. I’m happy to learn a small number of special songs in advance, whether that’s an aisle entrance, first dance or simply a song that means something to you. I’ll always discuss the arrangement beforehand so it works naturally in my acoustic style.

Can you perform at different parts of the same wedding day?

Absolutely. I can provide live music for individual parts of the day or cover several stages of the wedding or event, including the ceremony, drinks reception, breakfast and evening celebration. Full-day packages can be tailored around your timings and venue.
