First night of the BBC proms 2022, huge orchestra and choir, Royal Albert Hall packed, Verdi Requiem was absolutely magical!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Too many to choose from! I love playing songs with a great melody, artists like Elton John, Beatles, Coldplay to name a few!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Classical training from an early age, then played with some bands and singer-songwriters as a student, and later played on shows and did pop sessions as well as orchestral work. I love the variety of freelance performing!

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Any sort of celebration really, I enjoy creating a good vibe and love watching the guests as they recognise each song or start singing along.

I always aim to arrive an hour before I’m due to play, although I only need 15 minutes or so to get set up.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes I’m happy to play outside but I do need shade (I can bring my own if driving and know in advance). Also a power supply nearby Is required if I need to be amplified, thanks.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

They totally have a say, I have a song list clients can choose from and I’m happy to learn one or two new songs if needed.
