Review Centre: 1920s, 30s & 40s Style Bands

"Fleur sang at our wedding this month and she was awesome. She sang me down the aisle - Etta James' 'At Last' and it was absolutely perfect. It was a beautiful way to kick off our wedding and all of the guests commented about how amazing Fleur's voice is. After the ceremony Fleur played at our afternoon reception, accompanied by her brilliant pianist. It was a lovely atmosphere and lots of the guests were joining in with the songs. I loved every minute of it. Fleur's voice sends shivers down your spine and she sang some of my favourite tunes. She puts her own spin on the songs and this is why I wanted her to play at our wedding. I would highly recommend Fleur; she adds that little something different, perfect and unique."

"Jessica was amazing. We were only going to stay for a few songs and stayed till the end. My daughter was up dancing and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Highly recommended!"

"Swing Your Soul played at our Gala Dinner for the conference we were running, and were absolutely fantastic! The conference delegates had a ball and were up dancing right until the end – a sure sign that they were a big hit! Thanks to Ginger and the Swing Your Soul for playing at our event – would highly recommend if you want a cool, funky band to get the party started… and finished on a high note!"

"We have booked Oriana & the Charmers as a three piece in our restaurant on a Wednesday night. The first night was a huge success with people up dancing and generally having a great time. I would definitely recommend Oriana due to her professionalism and integrity to anyone else interested in an easy-going band with lots of talent."

"Whilst searching for a 1920s style band for a 30th birthday party we came across Trip for Biscuits. WOW, just WOW!! As soon as I watched the videos and listened to the tracks online I knew we had to book them. Laura's voice is outstanding and the musicianship is second to none! So glad we found you guys. "The Songbirds were excellent, on time, lovely voices and very professional. They made the party the success it was - fantastic ladies. Their song repertoire suited the event - a birthday party in World War aerodrome. One guests commented that they were "stonking" - we totally agree. Very highly recommended. "

"Mel is my ‘first call’ session singer. Whether it’s a rip-roaring rock song or an emotional ballad, Mel has an uncanny ability to find just the right mood and approach in her vocal performance to compliment the song perfectly. She is able to quickly understand what the songwriter and/or producer is trying to achieve and by using a balance of her exquisite tone and perfectly honed technique she is always able to come up with exactly what is required. Added to that, Mel is a joy to work with in the studio with a fantastic attitude and work ethic. She gets the job done!"
