Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"Robin was piper for us on our wedding in Oran Mor last Saturday, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a piper for any occasion - obviously it's a prerequisite at a Scottish wedding IMO (our guests from the USA loved it!) He played as our guests arrived, and then played Highland Cathedral as I walked down the aisle to meet my Husband-to-be (as you can imagine he sounded AMAZING in the acoustics of the Oran Mor Auditorium). He then provided my Husband and I with a memorable piped entrance to our reception dinner. Not only is Robin a superb musician, he was also very helpful and accommodating when we decided to postpone our wedding last year due to the pandemic - a decision I am glad we made. Multiple sclerosis Society of East Kent, like many other charities doing a great job, need all the help they can get. It was a pleasure to bring some cheer at their Christmas Luncheon 2025 and will be happy to do this again when required. Merry Christmas Judy and to all the lovely people at the society.

"We hired Jack to play at our private event, we specifically asked for 60’s and 70’s and he didn’t disappoint, he played all the songs that the group love. Strongly recommend and will be hiring again for our next event."

"I just want to say Thank you for your playing on Saturday your were excellent, everyone loved you playing. I really appreciated you staying as well. It was lovely meeting you. Thank you once again." "I hired Rory The Saxophonist for my 60th Birthday garden party. Right from the start I knew I’d got the right person. I was very impressed by his quick response to my e-mails, his attention to detail, he put everything we had discussed in a show advance agenda, so immediately I was aware of the itinerary. He provided his repertoire and I chose a list of tunes I wanted him to play. His choice of songs was very eclectic. On the day of the party, Rory arrived by public transport, in plenty time to set up, he had asked me if there was a dress code and dressed accordingly. He brought, a mic, saxophone, shakers, whistles, and DJ set for between sets. Rory made myself and my guests very relaxed, the day was chilled out, fun and uplifting. Rory dazzled us with his skills on the saxophone. Rory also mingled with the guests in between sets. I would definitely recommend Rory for any function. We will definitely book him again. "I’ve known Simon for a long time and he puts lots of time into playing the bagpipes and learning new songs. He is out every Friday evening with the London Irish and is very dedicated. Simon go a standing ovation at the finishing line at the hike as he played Scotland the great . "
