"I just have to thank Black Velvet Band for the great job they did at my 70th birthday ceilidh in Bristol on 24th June. I had such a great time, and that was partly down to the three of them working hard, and giving us great music to dance to. I danced every dance and enjoyed it so much. When the caller was explaining how to reel I thought, "Uh oh, this'll be fun!" and it certainly was ... I haven't laughed so much in ages. So, well done everyone involved, and if we ever have another I'll be sure to contact you again."

"Full Frequency are a fantastic band, so easy to work with while preparing for the wedding, nothing too much trouble for them and then gave a great performance that got everyone up and dancing. They did background music post ceremony while we had drinks and canapés and that was lovely. Thank you"

"The Cheers played our wedding on 4th July 2026 in Greenwich London and were fantastic. Everyone had a great time and commented how good the music was. For us the interaction was easy in the build up to the day. Communication was clear and the band were very accommodating with music choices, learning our first dance and music schedule. When you’re organising many things is nice to work with people that are friendly and helpful. One highlight for us was our 8 year old daughter joining the band on stage to sing love story. It was a lovely memory for her and us as a family and we a thankful to the band for allowing that impromptu moment. In short - we would definitely recommend The Cheers for weddings and any other functions for that matter."

"What an incredible Band ! I’m in love! I was lucky enough to hear them at a cider festival last year. Loved them that much we booked them for our annual Works summer Party which was on Saturday. OMG what an awesome evening! I fell in love again and booked them again for next year!!!! "

"Colin was just magnificent at our wedding on Saturday. First of all he saved us last minute as our bagpiper cancelled two weeks before the wedding. Our day was a very intimate church wedding and we asked Colin to play Highland Cathedral as we exited the church as it meant a lot to my husband (reminding him of his grandfather who is no longer with us). The vicar made a last minute decision with us to take the wedding party to my mother's grave while Colin was playing. He made that moment so special for us both and for the family and then he managed to uplift everyone's spirits afterwards with his clever choice of songs to follow (including the yellow submarine). It wouldn't have been the same without Colin and his pipes! Thank you so much. "

"Wow - what a fantastic night, we cannot thank you enough! As we had never seen you perform before we were on tenterhooks, but as soon as you started, we knew we had made the right decision - you were brilliant, everybody commented how wonderful you were, your choice of songs, your excellent voice and your whole appearance; the internet does not do you justice. You really helped in a massive way to make our ladies night a huge success, I hope we have the pleasure of your company again and maybe we will as a couple of people took your cards. "I was looking for music for my 50th party which was at a venue with a terrace and, being June, we expected the weather to mean guests were in and out. We wanted people to dance but we’re not sure a full band or DJ would work well in the venue. I saw Tim on Instagram and he seems ideal. He was a pleasure to deal with and on the bight turned up on queue sorted himself out the ideal location and got going. He’s a great guitarist and singer with a very wide ranging set list. What worked really well is how he adapted the music to the evening as it developed - it naturally eased people into coming inside over the first half of the set and had everyone dancing and really enjoying themselves by the end. One of our friends is a great singer and he was really great and sorting out a mike and appropriate song for her which was a great way to end the evening. He’s a really nice guy who is extremely easy to deal with, his music is top notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!"
