Review Centre: Jazz Bands

"My wife & I recently hired Olly's House of Jazz for our wedding. We knew we were in for a good time when guests were itching to dance, just from hearing the band's sound check! Their playing was immaculate and they really knew how to light up the room, every single guest was either dancing (myself included) or they were tapping along from their seats. We could not have asked for a better band to play on our big day. I would also like to touch upon how responsive, patient and accommodating Olly was during the lead up to the day, agreeing not only to play multiple songs that I requested, but also learning a song for the first dance, which was so good, it has tainted my love for the original. All in all, it was a pleasure to have Olly and his band at our wedding and I wholly recommend them."

"Amy was a pleasure to deal with, both over email before our wedding and on the day itself. We gave her a list of our favourite songs and she let us know which ones she could do. Amy mixed these songs in with a selection of other songs and checked the overall list with us beforehand. Everyone at the wedding thoroughly enjoyed the performance. We would definitely recommend Amy to anyone doing a wedding - she is a fantastic singer and a lovely person. Thank you Amy!"

"The Brass Junkies absolutely brought the party for the evening of our wedding! Having once seen them in Bristol, we were delighted to hear that they were free and able to come to South Devon to play at our wedding. They absolutely did not disappoint; the musicians are so incredibly talented and set the best atmosphere for the evening. Everyone LOVED them! A huge thanks to them for playing a big part in helping our day be so memorable."

"Wow! Martyn and Sharon were absolutely amazing. They are very very talented, can play a wide range of instruments and songs, and it was lovely music to have at our wedding. It was amazing! Felt like we were at a jazz concert abroad. Casado were also a delight to deal with, especially due to many postponements of our wedding due to COVID. They were always so understanding and managed to put our mind at ease whenever we had conversations with them. Very flexible and easy to work with and all round amazing people! "
