"Big thanks to Rox & The Roots for putting on such a fantastic show at the Greyhound of the Year Awards. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we’ve never seen the dance floor fill up that quickly before! I’ve heard so many great responses from the gig and we’ve already been asked about a repeat performance from the band next year! "Every Shrove Tuesday the Chaplaincy offers free pancakes to students, religious or not, in the main piazza. This is the 175th year of the University so I thought it necessary to pep up the distribution with a pianist and saxophonist. Rory rose to the occasion and his playing was superb in quality and rose above the noise of pancake distribution. Rory played throughout the period and long with the pianist raised the occasion our of the ordinary. He brought two saxophones and their different sounds added to the occasion. A providential find for which I am very pleased."

"We had Dave play at our engagement party and he was absolutely incredible! From the moment he arrived, he brought such a fun, friendly energy and instantly set the tone for the night. His sax skills were unreal! Every song had the crowd going, and the vibe was just unmatched. Everyone was talking about how amazing he was and how much atmosphere he added. Couldn’t recommend him enough for any event (aiming to see him again at our wedding!!!) pure talent and such a great guy. Thanks so much Dave"

"They were absolutely fantastic. The dance floor was full all night, and they interacted with guests so well. One of our nephews was invited on stage with them for a guitar solo which he LOVED and was such a nice touch. Can't recommend Straight Up enough. "

"Just wanted to say what a fantastic job you did playing at our party on Saturday. The mood music for our champagne reception was lovely. The professional standard of all your musicians, the pace, volume, and music selection for the after-dinner dancing was all perfect! You managed to get everyone on their feet from age 19 to 95! Absolutely brilliant. We could not have asked for more. You were responsive and incredibly easy to deal with throughout the process. Really appreciate it and am delighted we were introduced to you."
