"Chris has just repaired a 50-year old AKG D12 microphone for me. He told me all the (very reasonable) costs up front, didn't charge a penny more when it turned out to be a more complex job than he'd quoted for, explained exactly what was wrong with it (with photographs), gave me tips on how to better care for it in the future, and even provided a before and after frequency response chart so I could see what was going on. I couldn't be more pleased. And to top it all off, what a lovely bloke. Couldn't recommend him more. Cheers again mate. Simon"

"Hadn't used a sound engineer before and found Chris offered a great service. I chose him because he was local, had excellent references and was reasonably priced. He responded quickly to my initial enquiry and confirmed the booking, contacted me to confirm details a couple of days before and arrived well in advance of the event to set up and test his equipment. The event was a corporate lunch in a restaurant which involved pre-recorded music for a dance troupe and microphone facilities for the guest speaker. The room was an unusual shape with low ceilings and large support pillars. Despite a fairly noisy audience of about 140 people, the equipment did its job without any hitches and Chris was on hand throughout the afternoon. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again."

"I cannot speak highly enough of Chris and his team, I hired a full DJ kit including 'proper' decks for vinyl , the price was extremely competitive, the service was first class and given by people that truly care. Core Event Hire will always get any repeat business from me and I will be recommending them to anyone else. I Can't thank them enough!"

"Tery was very accommodating setting up before the event and patiently waiting until the disco was required later on in the evening. His lighting and sound system was excellent and he hit just the right tone with the choice of songs played."

"Hired the gold package for a hen party – the guy who delivered it was very professional and arrived on time for both delivery and collection. The equipment was high quality and had every song we wanted. It was really easy to use. The customer service in the office was fab throughout the bookings procedure. Thank you for an awesome night, we will be using you again."

"We weren’t sure what we were going to get when we booked DJ Maverick as we had a really bad experience previously with another DJ. Not only did, he play some incredible tunes, but he got everyone on the dancefloor and the red sparkly top hats went down a storm!"

"Absolutely fantastic, made our day I cant thank you guys enough or recommend you enough. What an amazing set. Everyone was up dancing and singing. You guys played lots of different era's of music, which everyone knew. You made our night very special and we didnt want it to end. The sax was incredible and so was the DJ. The contact was great before hand as well, we had a good convo about what we wanted and you guys absolutely delivered. Hope to see you soon at one of your gigs. "The disco was perfect, despite the amount of chatting and catching up that was being done, people found their way to the dance floor and in fact my 5 year old son barely moved from 'his spot' on the dance floor for nearly 2 hours solid! "
