"Absolutely brilliant. Darren has got a wide range of music to suit everyone, i had a particular favourite song but Darren went out his way to be able to play it for my 40th birthday. He really makes your event special and i will be booking him again for my 50th "

"After a misunderstanding with organizing PA system for my show, we called up James from Basement Hire on a one hour notice. It was a Friday night, he drove to Bournemouth, set it up perfectly, and I couldn't have asked for better service. The sound was top quality."

"I want to really thank and recommend Grimshaw Audio/Chris for his work with us on an event at Batley Bulldogs Rugby Stadium. Chris provided exactly what we needed for an event with over 1,000 school children. The equipment/sound he provided was perfect for the needs of the event. The way in which he adapted to OUR last minute changes was hugely professional and courteous with lots of patience. The event which was a first for our organisation to plan had all we needed in terms of sound (across a huge venue) which included individual speakers, school choirs, samba band and soloists. I would really recommend Grimshaw Audio - for our huge event he offered to us all we needed and more. Thank you so much and so sorry this review has taken so long for me to complete. "These guys did a great job, it was a tough one for them, mixture of ages, but they hit it off, music was great, if you wanted something they put it on. Great with the kids, even danced with us , did there best to get people up for karaoke, we all had a great night, and would totally recommend these lads for your events ? cheers lads "

"Best end to a Wedding you could hope for!! James and Big Day Revolution played and DJ'ed at our wedding 11th May 2024 and they smashed it out of the park!! They even created and played the perfect first dance song which was a blend of both acoustic and rock versions of 'I believe in a thing called love' and they truly. Couldn't have nailed the brief better!!! The band members are lovely and really engaged with our guests and kept the party going! We've had so many amazing comments on the band and how wonderful they were so if youre thinking of booking, don't think just do! You will never regret that decision! Thank you James and Big Day Revolution!!"

"Revology were able to give our garden party a super cool extra edge. They were so efficient and accommodating, planning our event felt easy! Their kit looked really smart and lit up the space well. "Paul was amazing!! We sent him a very varied 11 hour playlist and he was able to play 5 hours of music which myself and my wife (and all our guests!) loved!! Paul was a fantastic DJ as well as such a lovely person to have at our day, he was professional and friendly and did a fantastic job! His set up and equipment etc was well sorted too. Also, the speakers at the venue malfunctioned earlier in the day, and Paul very kindly stepped up ahead of his time slot and played some of our love songs which was very helpful and very much appreciated! Thank you so much for being such an amazing DJ Paul, we will definitely be booking you for any future parties! "

"Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for the disco for our wedding at Preston Cross Hotel. The disco was fantastic! Exactly what we wanted ! In particular, you gave great suggestions, but also listened to what we wanted – and played exactly what we asked for (and didn’t play any Robbie Williams, just as we’d requested!). It was also really nice that you checked everything with us before you started, and you looked so professional and very smartly dressed. The dance floor was full all evening – so thank you for that ! (including Ali’s 88 year old grandad who danced most of the night!). Several people have said to us how good the disco was, and how there were always lots of people dancing. Playing the Proclaimers 500 miles at the end worked well. We absolutely loved the wedding arch you did at the end, when you asked everyone to make arches that we went through to the ‘Congratulations’ music. It was such good fun, and so many people have said how good that was ! We also have some good photos people took as we went through the arch. We will send them to you as soon as possible. So many thanks again, we’ve had a lot of people say they really enjoyed the disco. Thanks for travelling out in snow too ! "

"This was my first time using Chris and it was for a musical theatre production of 'Godspell' at the Hasland Theatre. Chris came recommended by a friend of mine (Adam Parrish) after he did the sound engineering for a concert Adam had recently done with Gordon Giltrap. Well what can I say - Chris did an amazing job! He came along for a preliminary meeting with me where we looked around the venue, talked about the requirements for the show which included a live 4 piece band and 10 wireless headset radio mics. Chris then gave a full explanation of what equipment he thought was required to make a great sound within the venue, how much time he would have to dedicate to the project and from that came up with a quote for us. We confirmed it all over email and then it was just a matter of waiting for show week to roll around. This came at the end of March and Chris arrived with all the equipment he needed and got set up ready to go. It was great that the equipment he had was all digital and took up a very small amount of space and that he was able to control it all from his iPad at the back of the theatre, since there was literally no room for him to be anywhere else. Several of the band members commented on how great it was that Chris asked them before every show about their individual monitor mixes, if anything needed changing, if Chris needed to be aware of any issues from previous nights etc and are still talking about it now as something like that which seems really obvious and simple makes a huge difference to those playing and performing. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris even when I had to ask for some additional monitors to be placed on the stage as the actors were struggling to hear the musicians he just turned up with speaker stands and monitors and got them plugged in and ready for the following nights performance. Amazing! It is also important to note Chris's attitude throughout the entire process. Putting on a musical is an exceedingly stressful thing to do and I was having to think about a lot of things throughout the run, but Chris remained calm, level-headed and had a very calming presence which was commented on by several cast members and others within the creative team, which is just what you want in a high stress environment. He was great to work with and lots of laughs were had throughout the week amongst the whole team who he worked well with. A very quick and speedy break down and get out on the Saturday night wrapped everything up nicely. Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into making our show sound amazing and we really cannot wait to be working with you again hopefully in the very near future."
