"We have had the pleasure of listening to Joe perform a few times, most recently December 2017. As someone not particularly into acoustic music, Joe’s voice makes my hair stand on end. A professional and all round nice guy to deal with and have in our bar. I have no doubt one day Joe will be a big name in the music industry and wish him every success. Thank you Joe!"

"I had Nina play a 3 hour set for me on the 22nd July 2023 for my businesses 2 year anniversary. I own a beauty salon with a licensed bar, so it was a working event where we invited clients, had a food spread and the bar was opened, so essentially it was a party! Nina was amazing and I would highly recommend. She worked the room and played songs that everyone could dance to. The atmosphere was great and I will definitely be hiring her for another event. We were all having such a great time that when Nina’s set was up I had lots of clients asking me if she could stay longer!! So I asked Nina to do an extra paid half an hour, where she could of declined but she didn’t and was more than happy to accommodate my needs and keep the party going! Thank you so much Nina. "We were stuck for entertainment due to a cancellation. I got in touch with David as he rehearses with one of his groups over the road and they always come in for a drink after their rehearsal. At short notice he arranged to come with his piano and to bring some singers to help out. It was amazing and we had so much fun. He was so adaptable and we are already booking him for next year. "

"Thank you Mat for a great night in celebration of my 60th birthday. Mat contacted me a few weeks before the event to discuss the music choice, I offered 10-12 songs to give him the idea of my genre preference. Mat managed to incorporate all of my selection into his set and supplemented them with some great classics. Originally we had decided on a 2015 start time but as this time approached it was clear my guests were still catching up with each other. Mat suggested that he move the start time right an half hour which was perfect. All my guests had a great time and many have said what a fantastic performance Mat gave. Indeed my sister in law has asked for his contact details so she can try and book him for her 59th birthday m, probably the best compliment she could give. Once again thank you Mat and hope to see you perform again soon. "

"Bethany was our wedding singer in March 2023. The songs she sang accompanied with her guitar , were beautiful. It was extra special to have Bethany sing in the chapel during our wedding ceremony. Bethany kept in touch from the moment we booked, up until the day after the event. Such a likeable, lovely lady and very professional. She is an absolute must on your list if your planning a special occasion ."

"We hired 'Charles' for our wedding in July 2021, and found him perfect, and would love to book him again! His playing (guitar + loop system) and singing were excellent, and he was very engaging and interactive with the guests and in taking requests from his repertoire (and even one not on it, from the bride!). He also contacted us when he became stuck in traffic to keep us informed on his ETA, which was very helpful, set up promptly when he arrived and began as soon as possible. We would also give a top rating to Last Minute Musicians; the lady who responded to our availability enquiry was great in giving us regular updates and information on the booking process, even though we only booked with one week to go to our wedding!"

"Excellent! From start (initial contact and enquiry), to finish (performance), Modern Strings were a pleasure to work with. Sophie was very helpful and accomodating, she also offered a very competitive package, advising what would work in an honest way. She was always prompt with communications, and helped where she could. The team were punctual on the day, and played amazingly, guests loved it! Thanks to the team!"
