Review Centre: Soul Bands

"My wife and I hired Glorious Grooves for our wedding. We trawled pretty much every website and listened to samples of many bands and felt that from what we heard from the group over the net was the best sound and take on the type of music we wanted for our big day. We were not disappointed. The band set up with absolutely no fuss and we completely flexible both before the wedding in terms of the sets they would play and also on the evening when a few things had overrun. From the start the music was fantastic - and everyone at the wedding and indeed afterwards were asking how we found the band and commented on how good they were. The guys are also all really nice people and had a quick beer with us after their set and helped make the whole experience a perfect one for our big day. I would without hesitation recommend the band to anyone- and finally get to thank them properly for a great set!!"

"Radio Dukes played at our wedding and they were fabulous, all of our guests commented on how brilliant they were. I literally danced all night, they packed the dance floor full all night and were just brilliant. I would definitely recommend them for any occasion. All correspondence was professional and quick and they were super flexible. Ive never hired a band before but they made the whole experience stress free! "

"We hired The Marvellous Motown Souls after hearing 2 of them at a wedding fair. From then on I thought they were a great band but also lovely people which was important to us. We even went to see them at another event to show the parents. The acoustic set during our wedding breakfast was just right and they went the extra mile for our bespoke first dance which they put together for us which went down a storm with our guests. We really appreciated the recording before the wedding we so we get it just right. We would highly recommend this band and me and my husband had many compliments about the band and the music they played"

"Words can not describe how good this band was. From the very first song they had our guests hooked! The dance floor was heaving from beginning to end. The range of their playlists are outstanding, definitely have something for everyone. The quality of their performance was outstanding, and they are such a great bunch of people. We have had so many messages from our guests saying how amazing they all thought the band was, and there were a lot of aching legs and feet the next day due to all the dancing! This band really was the icing on the cake for us, and helped make our day so memorable. We just wish we could do it all again - and if we did, we would definitely be having Garage Nation! "Its been 10 years since I ran The Bear, but I remember they were excellent and probably hadn’t been going long at that point. The lead singers voice is very impressive and quite unique. The band were very tight and produced excellent cover versions particularly the chilli’s stuff. They put their own twist on certain songs and make them their own. I’d definitely book them again"

Aside from your professionalism dealing with you prior to the event, I never dreamed that your performance would be THAT good!! The evening you gave us, filled with West-end tunes and film favourites delivered with such energy and excitement is still talked about by our guests. "We would like to thank the whole choir, you guys were amazing and every single one of our guests have said how amazing you all were! You made our wedding! Thank you so so much for working with me with the flash mob and I even surprised myself with my own surprise haha. I can’t recommend the choir enough, they are worth every single penny I wish I had booked them for the evening too. The most amazing bunch of people who were a joy to deal with. They even learnt a song for our first dance and we were lost for words..WOW WOW WOW. If I ever get married again hopefully I will not lol I will be booking these guys for sure!
