Review Centre: Pianists (Classical)

"Thank you for providing the backround music for the Pride of Houghton Awards, which took place last night. The evening was a huge success and the Town Mayor, Councillor Laura Ellaway has asked me to pass on her sincere thanks to you. The Mayor particularly requested the songs from the shows and these were very much enjoyed by all. There were many excellent comments about the musical entertainment and the guests that attended the event included the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire and the Mayor's from Luton, Dunstable, Sandy and Flitwick as well as members of the local community. I would like to thank you again for all your support and we hope to work with you again at future events. "

"Des played at our wedding ceremony. He was able to match the music to what we wanted and creative a beautiful atmosphere. Guests were over whelmed by his presence and we are very grateful. You can really tell that des enjoys what he does and I would recommend anyone to have him at there event. "

"Good selection of music but it was generally too loud. This could have been because the hall was longer side to side than the width where your combo was playing. Maybe a better sound evaluation ( not sure what the proper term is ) opposite where you are actually playing would enable a better volume appreciation for the assembled guests."

"Nigel played for our wedding at the Marriott Hotel in Northampton as our guests arrived, as we signed the register/walk out and throughout our wedding breakfast. He was absolutely brilliant and learnt a few new songs for us. It was so wonderful to have him there and we can't thank him enough for making our wedding day even more memorable."

"Gareth Giles is a highly professional, lovely guy to work with. His musical experience, breadth and depth is phenomenal and no genre is off limits. He is a truly outstanding accompanist with sensitivity, power, dynamism, subtlety, flair and 6th sense communication and musical understanding of the textures, requirements and other musicological facets of the music. I shall probably ask him to accompany me for my diploma exam as to be honest his capabilities and communications musically are way in excess of any other accompanist I have used. His sight reading, transposition and rhythmic pizazz are a true marvel. I thoroughly recommended GARETH for anyone seeking accompaniment for vocal, instrumental or choral work. Outstanding! "We have seen Emma perform on an number of occasions and were so excited to have her play at our wedding. As always, she was phenomenal and we were so grateful for her stunning performance. Not only does Emma have a beautiful voice and amazing musical talent she is also incredibly professional and all our guests commented on how brilliant she was. "I just wish to thank you for last night. You were a star! You got me out of a jam and I'm so grateful. Yesterday was so stressful for me but if I'd known the quality of the accompanist that I would end up with I could have relaxed. You were really awesome! I conducted without having to worry about what was going on to my right. That's better than normal and you'd only seen the music a few minutes earlier. On top of that you called in Mantovani! Wow! Mark, I can't thank you enough, you really did make my evening, thank you. On top of that, it was a pleasure to see you practise your musicianship with such enjoyment. The joy of music! "Tom played at my daughter Emily's wedding on Saturday May 19th 2018. From the moment I booked him until the last chord was played, he was awesome. Tom was an absolute pleasure to work with. He played everything we requested with real feeling, he was technically excellent but also managed to imbue real emotion into everything he played. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He made a beautiful event enchanting."

"Sarah was brilliant. Her communication and attention to detail before the event was superb; on the day she arrived punctually, and was pretty much self-contained, requiring no extra help or assistance (although it was offered). She played throughout the meal and beyond, with a wide range of music. Sarah took the time beforehand to check my musical preferences and learnt one of my favourite songs to play on the evening. (She played it twice, in fact, as I asked her to repeat it as an encore). I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah, and hope that we'll be able to work with her again. "

"Nigel played at our wedding at Holmewood Hall in March 2020. He played during the drinks reception, and was absolutely fantastic! There were numerous compliments from guests on how much they enjoyed Nigel's playing. He also took requests which was brilliant! I would not hesitate to recommend Nigel, thank you so much again!"

"Delighted with Louise, she was excellent throughout the process, with clear communication before the event so you were confident that she would be there and then superb skills on the piano, able to turn her hand to create a really welcoming atmosphere at our high end event.
