"We just wanted to say thank you to you and to the rest of the band for the most fantastic two sets at our wedding. Friends and family are still asking us about you all and saying it's the best band they've heard at a wedding. We were delighted with all the songs that you chose and especially grateful to you for playing 'Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You'. The accordion sounded great in that song! You judged the mood of the evening perfectly and the music moved along beautifully in response to this. I think it was a real highlight of the day for us and all of our guests, especially the children who loved seeing you all playing your instruments."

"Just wanted to send you a quick note to say how wonderful the guys were on Sunday. In the end Martin was able to use his battery amp and the result was just fabulous. We had so many compliments about the performance and it made the whole atmosphere of the event. Thank you so much for helping us get this together at the last minute - you’re a life saver!"

"Ella Fitzgerald was born on 25 April 1917. She didn't have the easiest of starts to life - losing both parents and making a living on the streets as a teenager. She had hopes of becoming a dancer but had no training. What she did have was the gift of the smoothest, silkiest voice Jazz has known with the most delicate of touches - to hear Ella was to be kissed on the cheek by the lightest of breezes. Over her career she recorded 2,000 songs many of which are now Jazz standards - a fact in part due to the Fitzgerald imprimatur. Annette Gregory has a voice that is naturally lower in pitch than Ella’s and wisely she does not attempt a tribute act that imitates - rather her performance is a celebration of Ella’s legacy and the songs that will be sung and heard for as long as humans live on this planet. For this gig she was to have been accompanied by a quartet but unfortunately the bassist and sax player were caught up in a traffic standstill on the M6, but the piano (John) and drums (Matt) backing meant the stripped down support ensured that we focused on the songs. Just as Annette does not try to sound like Ella, neither does she slavishly follow her interpretations. This was strikingly apparent in songs such as “Miss Otis Regrets” and “The Man I Love” (which was more of a rocking blues than the familiar ballad). Annette's delivery is characterised by controlled, fluent and delicate phrasing and a pair of ballads - “When a Woman Loves a Man” and “Embraceable You” - were particularly pleasing. Let's hope that Annette and the full quartet make it back to Buxton soon! (10 / 10)"

"Thank you to John and the band for a fantastic event. All through the afternoon I had guests at our party coming up to say how amazing the band was. The music was just excellent and the perfect balance for the party - present but not imposing, and they really transformed the event into something special. I would highly recommend them. John was super helpful in the weeks up to the event in terms of advice around timings etc, and was totally flexible when we moved things around. They were prompt, discreet, friendly and professional, and the music was just fantastic. Thank you so much!"

"Beci and Liam were absolutely amazing from the planning stages through the performance at our wedding. They were communicative, flexible, accommodating, insanely talented, and such warm, lovely people. Music is very important to us as a couple, and they were able to accommodate our unique song requests and requested arrangements. They truly made our wedding ceremony the most beautiful, memorable, meaningful moment, one which we will cherish forever. We could not recommend them more highly and are so grateful for their beautiful work which made our wedding the most special day ever. It was a privilege to have them there with us."
