"Hired the 'Ultimate Party Bundle' to use with our own decks, mixer and radio mike for a wedding (speeches and disco). Equipment was delivered and set up on time and provided great sound and lighting. The package was ideal for the marquee (about 90 guests). Lights and speakers were in excellent condition. Basement Hire answered all my questions in advance regarding connections, cables etc. "

"Absolutely first class! Chris and Olly managed to transform our bare, run down marquee into an inviting, charming place for our Great Gatsby Ball. Chris worked alongside us helping with ideas and suggestions and was on hand for site visits and available to talk through the plans whenever we needed. Everyone who attended couldn't believe the transformation and amazing atmosphere all the lighting and sound helped to create. We will definitely be working with Core Events again in the future and couldn't recommend them highly enough."

"We hired some sound and lighting equipment for our wedding reception a few weeks ago and couldn't recommend Chris or the team highly enough. With a very vague outline of what we were after Chris guided us through the lighting options and managed to help us to exceed the effect we were originally after. They made sure we had everything else we required to make sure the day went off without a hitch - it is fair to say that Chris' experience in this field is un-surpassed and didn't leave a stone un-turned - thank you! p.s. prices were extremely competitive too!"

"We booked Chris to provide equipment and manage all the sound for our Great Yorkshire Chorus Christmas choir concert. This was a big event with a choir of over 100 people and a large audience, he did a fantastic job for us. Leading up to the event we had regular contact with Chris, he made sure that everything was well organised and met what we needed on the day. On the day itself set up was all smooth and we had a great soundcheck with the choir where Chris got all the levels set just right so the choir could hear things well and there was a good balance for the audience. Chris also recorded the concert for us which was brilliant so we have that to keep and use in future. The recordings are excellent quality and he put a lot of work in post production for us to get them sounding spot on. Chris is very professional and easy to work with, which is hugely valuable to anyone running a large event who needs someone experienced and reliable. We'll definitely use Chris again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him."

His professionalism, due diligence and attention to detail was outstanding and made the 11-piece band sound incredible. I would 100% recommend him to do sound for your project or band."

"Great service, friendly and helpful. So much easier and cheaper cutting out the DJ, able to play the songs I wanted still with great sound and lighting. Having the equipment set up and collected also reduced any hassle."
