"Chris was very pro and set up a great sound system for our wedding (next to Huddersfield). First in the outdoor welcome area for the early stage and then after 10pm in the marquee for the disco part. Chris went above and beyond in making our event a success. Thank you!"

"I want to really thank and recommend Grimshaw Audio/Chris for his work with us on an event at Batley Bulldogs Rugby Stadium. Chris provided exactly what we needed for an event with over 1,000 school children. The equipment/sound he provided was perfect for the needs of the event. The way in which he adapted to OUR last minute changes was hugely professional and courteous with lots of patience. The event which was a first for our organisation to plan had all we needed in terms of sound (across a huge venue) which included individual speakers, school choirs, samba band and soloists. I would really recommend Grimshaw Audio - for our huge event he offered to us all we needed and more. Thank you so much and so sorry this review has taken so long for me to complete. "The sound and equipment was amazing as was Chris himself, flexible, relaxed and very professional, we had may different styles of music, big band, country, rap, blues, acoustic and the sound for each was spot on, vocals were clear and drums sounded great. "Chris and the team were fantastic, the set up was beautiful and they came on time. The stage was stunning I would definitely recommend this company, very polite and amazing customer service. Chris at Core Event really made a big effort to help me every step from helping with designs and sending photos to help create the look I wanted the stage was exactly what we wanted. "I recently got married at Dunston Hall and Charlie was the DJ. He was absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process, we spoke on the phone prior to my wedding and he gave me good advice about my song choices and how the music could flow during the event. The music was great on the night, he incorporated in all our choices and they were seamlessly mixed together. He also did a set with my sister who plays the sax and it was brilliant! I can't praise him enough, he really helped make my wedding extra special, thank you!"

"The guys are amazing to work with! Nothing is too much trouble or a silly question. They go above and beyond and our first beer and music festival was a hit. I wouldn’t have wanted to use anyone else! From the beginning until even after the event the guys were incredible and the best! With so much to do, lighting and sound was something I didn’t have to worry about. Great communication coming from them without me having to go to them, a long time in advance. Highly recommend for everyone for great quality not only for sound and lighting but also for every other aspect like professionalism, friendliness, helpful, commitment, communication, knowledge…. Absolutely everything about these guys is 5*! Thank you so much guys!"

"This was my first time using Chris and it was for a musical theatre production of 'Godspell' at the Hasland Theatre. Chris came recommended by a friend of mine (Adam Parrish) after he did the sound engineering for a concert Adam had recently done with Gordon Giltrap. Well what can I say - Chris did an amazing job! He came along for a preliminary meeting with me where we looked around the venue, talked about the requirements for the show which included a live 4 piece band and 10 wireless headset radio mics. Chris then gave a full explanation of what equipment he thought was required to make a great sound within the venue, how much time he would have to dedicate to the project and from that came up with a quote for us. We confirmed it all over email and then it was just a matter of waiting for show week to roll around. This came at the end of March and Chris arrived with all the equipment he needed and got set up ready to go. It was great that the equipment he had was all digital and took up a very small amount of space and that he was able to control it all from his iPad at the back of the theatre, since there was literally no room for him to be anywhere else. Several of the band members commented on how great it was that Chris asked them before every show about their individual monitor mixes, if anything needed changing, if Chris needed to be aware of any issues from previous nights etc and are still talking about it now as something like that which seems really obvious and simple makes a huge difference to those playing and performing. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris even when I had to ask for some additional monitors to be placed on the stage as the actors were struggling to hear the musicians he just turned up with speaker stands and monitors and got them plugged in and ready for the following nights performance. Amazing! It is also important to note Chris's attitude throughout the entire process. Putting on a musical is an exceedingly stressful thing to do and I was having to think about a lot of things throughout the run, but Chris remained calm, level-headed and had a very calming presence which was commented on by several cast members and others within the creative team, which is just what you want in a high stress environment. He was great to work with and lots of laughs were had throughout the week amongst the whole team who he worked well with. A very quick and speedy break down and get out on the Saturday night wrapped everything up nicely. Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into making our show sound amazing and we really cannot wait to be working with you again hopefully in the very near future."
