"We had our wedding reception at Wildes Inns on Saturday 2nd August 2025. We were both hoping Charlie would be our DJ as we had heard amazing things from other couples we know who had also had Charlie as their wedding DJ. The process was so simple when making the wedding playlist of preferred songs and having a section of songs we did not want playing. Charlie read the room quite quickly so the dance floor was packed from start to finish! There were a couple of requested songs from guests that I had put on the banned list so Charlie said they were to ask myself and the groom. Only once we agreed could they be played which was a big relief! (Proud Mary- Say no more!) We are both big Ibiza dance fans and love that genre of music so asked Charlie for Sax player recommendations. Charlie sorted it through his company CFR Group, so it was so easy for us. They both went side by side perfectly and Martin aka ‘Mr Sax’ was phenomenal! Everyone was so excited when he came out of nowhere into the middle of the floor! It’s honestly made the night! Thankyou again to Charlie for a brilliant end to a fabulous wedding day! 🥂🪩"

"We were married at wildes inn , on 8/3/26 Regarding charlie, we had heard excellent reviews about this DJ , and we couldnt of asked for more on the night for our special day. He played majority of our chosen songs, as we are into our Dance , along with a few Mowtown & the 80's for the oldies ..I know , sorry :) He knew, how to keep the dance floor full all night , we couldnt recommend Charlie enough, as he was very professional and attentive to the audience. 100% DJ, Thank you Charlie x"

"Delighted by the service from James at Basement Hire. Wanted lights and sound for my wife's 60th birthday party in a local Tithe Barn and James sorted us out some brilliant kit and came and set up a splendid arrangement with the minimum of fuss and at a time to suit us. Ditto collection after the party. Very easy to deal with for pre order queries and advice and also kindly collected a mirror ball for us from another supplier. The farmer who owns the barn said it was the best party he'd seen there in the 5 years they'd been operating and this due in no small part to the lights and sound (and of course the partygoers!)."

"Charlie is without a doubt the best DJ I have ever worked with! As a wedding photographer, I know first hand how the dancefloor is a crucial part of the day, and a DJ can absolutely make or break this… Charlie knows exactly how to get the guests up and partying, what songs will work for the crowd that’s on the dancefloor, and how to keep the vibes going for the whole evening! I recently had the privilege of watching him work my best friends wedding & he was nothing short of amazing, you will not be disappointed if you book a CFR group DJ! 👌🏼"

"We had Charlie for our wedding and he was brilliant! From being in contact to the lead up to our special day to how he was on the day. We added songs to our playlist he gave us and he just knew what we wanted on the night. We didnt stop dancing from start to finish and even when we wanted to add in little extras he helped. Definitely recommend him! Thankyou Charlie! 🙂"

"I simply could not recommend Core Event Hire enough. Chris and his team are professional, experienced and do everything at a competitive rate (they even chucked a few things in for free!) My only regret is not using them more on the project I was organising - couldn't be happier."
