Review Centre: Soul Bands

"This band are the real deal. I have never known a band put so much effort into a party. James was like road runner in speed with replying throughout and everything you need was covered by him, we were left with no worries on the entertainment front. On the day the band came in good time to setup, their equipment is ridicules compared to what I expected, the sound system is so clear and lights are brilliant. I watched the soundcheck while I was also preparing things and when I heard the final result I knew the evening would be amazing. Song choices were just spot on, Liz can sing anything and they actually ended up playing for about two and a half hours as people just wanted to keep partying. I booked them for a couple of hours originally. I will conclude by saying James and his band deserve every penny they get, they will do a proper job and are all around down to earth people and brilliant musicians."

"Ginger provided the music for my wedding. She arranged a Duo with a guitarist for the champagne toast and then her band played after our wedding breakfast. All of our guests have said what an excellent band they are. They had everybody up dancing young and old. I think my nana thinks Ginger is her friend as she keeps asking me how she is!! Great fun band! Ideal for Weddings and parties.. excellent value for money."

"Danny and Catherine played at our wedding a few weeks ago, and I cannot recommend them enough. They play a great range of songs, tailored to your preferences, are great fun, and worked the audience magnificently, getting everyone dancing from the three year-olds to the seventy three year-olds. Before booking, I checked out the clips on you-tube, and compared them with lots of other bands, and no-one else came close. They lived up to, and surpassed, our expectations. Many thanks for a fantastic evening."

"Detroit Deluxe were engaging, energetic and excellently executed every song performed. As a couple, our music taste crosses over in the soul and RnB categories and we felt through Detroit Deluxe, we could have crowd pleasers to involve our family and friends, that we also loved so much! They really delivered! We had so many positive comments about how amazing the lead singers' voices were! To top it off, they created a musical medley for our first dance! Outstanding. "

"Vernon played the cocktail hour of our wedding, accompanied by a colleague on bass, and we could not have asked for a better duo! The set list was exactly what we wanted; Vern has a great voice and created such a good vibe with his fun ad libs and upbeat style, it was better than we ever could have hoped. My husband and I has guests asking us "where did you find these guys, they're amazing" the entire time they were playing! It was an absolute pleasure to have them both there, they made the day feel so special - we would absolutely recommend them to anyone."

"Thank you Glorious Grooves for a superb gig at our wedding on Saturday. It made it a very special event for us and the dancing did not stop from the moment you started. It was great to hear such a varied repertoire so professionally sung, supported by TOP QUALITY musicians. There are bands and then there are BANDS..... and I can assure anyone reading this review who are considering you for a coming wedding or event that they will be knocked out by you. Fantastic. "Joanne sang at our wedding and was absolutely brilliant. A few guests commented how amazing she was and didn’t even realise at first we had a live singer, they thought she was a record playing which is testament to just how incredible her vocals are. "We had an absolute amazing day it just seemed to be over so fast. You and the other guys in the band put on a fantastic and professional show for us despite all the restrictions from the venue you had to deal with which certainly didn't seem to matter on the night ! We have had so many excellent comments about you already which is awesome! You guys were exactly what we were looking for when it came to a band . As it is quite a cool modern venue we needed a cool slick band who could cater musically for all the age groups at the reception which you did outstandingly so thank you. From what I can remember there were people up and dancing most of the night which is what Amy & I really wanted and I think that talks for itself when I say everyone was having a good time!! I'm so glad that the venue look after you guys and you also enjoyed it also. Amy and myself would be more than happy to recommend the Embassy to anyone who were looking for the perfect band to play at their wedding or function!!
