"Just to say everything was perfect! After doing lots of research and searching for a band to play our wedding we struggled for months to find anything that would be anything near perfect and then I found Somerset Soul after watching their video I knew straight away that was the perfect band for the big day! I was absolutely thrilled when they were available as well. It really was the best day and the band just topped an already perfect day! They turned up on time and quickly got set up and ready. They started with a request that they learned in two weeks ( which was covered beautifully) and continued with a superb set. They were friendly and enthusiastic. Every guest at the wedding really enjoyed them. I couldn't rate the day any higher."

Your music was absolutely perfect - right from the music in the ceremony to the full band in the evening. Everyone commented on how amazing your voice is and so I just wanted to let you know how much we and everyone else enjoyed your music. My 4 year old niece Emma was your biggest fan - the next morning when she woke up, she was apparently asking for you and your music! "

"Thank you [and the band] so much for making our Family Party such a success on Saturday night. Everyone was thrilled with the swing music - and to have such a range of instruments and two fantastic singers was the tops. [I have to say the clarinet really adds to the bands sound - it is terrific]. I mentioned to a few people that we had wondered if more 'pop' music with a DJ and recorded music would have been preferred at the party. The unanimous answer was that nothing beats live music and your style of swing music was irresistible at getting everyone [from 4 to 84] dancing. Your band really made our party the success it was - very many thanks. With all good wishes"

"We searched for a few days to find a non cheesy wedding band. Soul Generations had a great repertoire and their performance was excellent. Mariam’s voice is incredible. If you don't want the standard cheesy wedding band, would definitely recommend. "

"Just returned from the show at Stamford this evening 22 Nov. Outstanding musical ability, total enthusiasm and hard work, which produced a sound which defied any attempt to keep your hands or feet from moving! They love their music and it showed. It was an superb evening and I will be back. "

"We could not be happier with Phil and his AMAZING big band. Right from the very outset things started well as he was very friendly in our conversations and happy to accommodate requests based on our tastes, as well as make his own suggestions (which we of course trusted given his experience!) When it came to the day itself the band were efficient at setting up and getting ready. Finally, the performance... WOW! 80% of the people invited to our wedding were professional musicians and the amount of positive comments was overwhelming. The band played lots of our favourites to keep us happy (including an amazing performance of In the Mood at end the evening), as well as plenty of classics to keep everyone on the dance floor (which, incidentally, was absolutely packed for the whole evening, which is something I've never witnessed before at a wedding, so that in itself is a testament to just how good and entertaining this band is). They even played a few strict tempo numbers which made our ballroom dancing friends very happy indeed. All in all the band and the vocalists were absolutely fantastic and we couldn't recommend them higher. They made our wedding all the more special and unique and we cannot thank them enough. Need a big band? Look no further! Phil's your man!!"

"After spending weeks looking for a wedding band who could play more than the standard fare, we were intrigued on seeing their repertoire; finally a band who could satisfy all the guests with a mixture of classy soul, RnB and pop. Once we listened to their demo we were sold; it was clear that Rebecca has the voice of an angel. However, this didn’t prepare us for the performance on the day, which exceeded all expectations. Love songs delivered with heartbreaking beauty and pop that had everyone off their seats until the last note of the evening. Rebecca and the Somerset Soul are a wedding band for the discerning listener who gave us the perfect end to a perfect day."

"On behalf of Charlotte and I, I would like to say a big thank you to you and the rest of your team who played at our wedding. The day was already absolutely perfect, but arriving into the Olympia suite to the sight and sound of The MB Band just made the day! We were late to arriving to the evening reception (a brides prerogative…!) but that was no problem to the band who adapted to the time change perfectly. The music was unbelievable and the second set especially when all the guests had warmed up, had everyone on their feet dancing the night away! I will absolutely be recommending The MB Band to everyone I know for any occasion and certainly hope to use you again for the next of our special occasions. Thank you again!"

"We just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to you and Alex for the fantastic set you did on Saturday at Ben’s 40’s Themed 40th Birthday Party! You were so friendly and helpful that many of the guests assumed you were friends of Ben’s. Well you are now! Your voices and Alex’s guitar playing were really lovely and the choice of songs was spot on. I really appreciated the way you took charge of any announcements and navigated the events during the evening without ever taking over, so that it took away any stress from us. Thanks also for enabling Izzy to use the backing tracks so that she could sing some special songs for Ben .You both really helped to make the evening such an enjoyable event for all involved. Lots of people commented on the music and wanted to know who you were, and the staff at the venue said how much they had enjoyed the music and the atmosphere it created. I know Ben will be in touch with you soon, but once again thank you both so much again for helping to make the event ‘go with a swing’ so that we all had a really lovely evening.
