"I love to see the harp played out of its usual context, Floralyn is both talented and confident. playing both her own material as well as covers. Vocally I really like her voice and the emotion she creates with it. Add to this her obvious joy when she is performing and you can see that she has a great future in front of her and I shall follow her career with interest"

"We really enjoyed the day, and it was made more special by having some many friends and family there in the fabulous Randolph Ballroom. A number of our guests were very complimentary about your performance. In a back handed compliment, my father said you kept him awake- that is good! The Maitre D'Hote also said that the hotel were impressed so they asked for your details, so more trips to Oxford in the future."

"I had wanted a harpist but we weren't sure it would work in our venue space with the number of guests but I am so glad we managed to find Harriet. It brought such an elegant, romantic atmosphere to our ceremony and made everything feel even more special. It created exactly the feeling we had hoped for as everyone arrived and throughout the ceremony itself. My only regret is that the day went by so quickly and I didn’t get to hear more of it!"

"We booked Singing with Strings for the reopening of our Inn to provide a relaxing live music act for guests over a lunchtime / early evening event. Sophia was bright and engaging, arriving well in advance of her booking allowing us plenty of time to brief her and allow her to set up. Her setlist was varied and added just the atmosphere we were hoping for. I would recommend Sophia without hesitation and fully intend to book her again for further events."

"We asked for Zoe to play at our wedding reception (17/7/21) and she was utterly fantastic. She set herself up on the front lawn in my parents garden and when we came back from the Church she was already in full swing, playing Perfect by Ed sheeran. It was so very memorable and atmospheric and the perfect backdrop to our mingling guests drinking champagne. She was able to play a full range of popular songs, and before we went through to the marquee she played a few requests for me and my husband including a Lewis Capaldi song she had recently learnt for the event. My parents loved her harp playing and we would all thoroughly recommend Zoe. She was very flexible as we had initially asked her to play at our first wedding date 22/8/20 but this had to be postponed due to the Pandemic. All her emails are very personable and prompt and she is a lovely person, and a very talented Harpist. Lydia Piercy (Nee Yates) "

"Gina was amazing! She was very engaged in the planning before my event and nothing was too much trouble. On the evening she played and sang beautifully and I received many compliments on how her talented performance contributed to my special Mass."

"Kathryn was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We were only a month from our wedding when our other musician cancelled, I wish we’d gone to Kathryn first. All communication was great, and the performance on the day was everything we hoped for, Kathryn was able to read the room and provide the perfect background for our wedding. 10/10, if anyone was to ask for musician recommendations Kathryn would be top of my list! "Avoid this woman. We paid her £380 to play for an hour and a half in the woods during our wedding ceremony and drinks reception on Saturday 10th August, 2019. She played for half an hour before the ceremony and then wouldn’t play the remaining hour because she claimed the conditions weren’t appropriate. Her reasons are as follows... her fingers were too cold (it was 20 degrees) and a small branch fell on the wedding celebrant who was no way near Cecily (the celebrant carried on like a profession, I hasten to add). I asked Cecily for the money for the hour back and she refused. I therefore, am going to be looking into what legal action to take as I am not happy paying £380 for someone to play for half an hour! Cecily ruined our wedding day so don’t book her... she could ruin yours, too! "

N/B: Please note this booking was private and not through Last Minute Musicians. If it had, then the LMM contract would have made clear that the musician reserves the right to protect their instruments (and themselves) if the working environment become unreasonable or dangerous. On this day the MET office had issued a yellow warning for gale force winds and the weather conditions were a cause for concern. The wedding took place in a wood and as well as the celebrant being hit on the head by a falling branch, a much larger branch fell inches away from my harp after the ceremony. It is always difficult and upsetting to have to make the decision that it is unreasonable to continue playing when it is somebody's wedding day. I did, in fact, manage to play for 1/2 an hour before the ceremony and during the ceremony itself. When it was clear after the ceremony that there was no available option of moving inside, and after much consultation with ushers and friends of the couple, I made the decision that it was no longer a safe environment to work for me or the harp. I was assured by those I spoke to that the bride and groom would understand. The cold was a factor (high winds make the temperature feel much colder, and I would like to add several guests did put on their coats. I was also kindly offered a jacket) but not the reason for having to curtail this booking after 1 hour of playing. It is sometimes possible to deal with the ill effects of playing in the cold but the issue here was the lack of back up plan when the weather made the working environment dangerous. Nobody should be expected to work in an unsafe environment or put their extremely expensive and delicate instrument (as well as themselves) at risk when their livelihood depends on it. I would hope that having managed to play before and during the ceremony (and before the couple departed for photographs) that the decision made did not ruin anyone's wedding day. Naturally I am saddened when anyone feels dissatisfied with the service provided and I have never had a negative response to my performance at a wedding before. With best wishes, Cecily

"I had Mascia several times in my works. Across pure music or theatrical representations she always expressed professionally and passion both in baroque and in modern themes like in the show “Love’s tears” in 2012 under the patronage of Italian Chamber of Deputies. I’m glad of our collaboration past and future."

"Harriet is so talented and an absolute joy. She communicated well throughout the wedding planning process and learnt 3 new songs for our ceremony. The music on the day was breathtaking. We were all blown away by the beautiful atmosphere created by her music in particular her version of Bastille’s ‘can’t fight this feeling’ which I walked down the aisle to. Harriets harp playing gave our wedding day an additional dimension and made it so much more special- we cannot thank her enough!"
