Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

A chair without arms, and power supply.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

All sound equipment provided.

What information do you require about a venue?

Access and parking.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes.

Do you need amplification?

I always bring amplification, as it helps cut through a room and open air venue. I am, however, always sensitive to not be overpowering and can judge the volume to the surroundings.
I can also provide battery powered amplification of there is not available power. This would need to be arrange prior to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I have performed regularly for private soirees of the Royal Family over the past 30 years and performed to the Pope in a candlelit venue in the catacombs in Rome. That was pretty cool.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I am inspired by so many musicians but had the privilege of studying with both John Williams and Julian Bream, and performing with Gary Moore & Brian May (two other heroes).

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Been performing since I was 8, but started touring the day i graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in the 90's. I have toured the world multiple times both as a soloist and in partnership with other international artists.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Anywhere where I am loving playing to people that are enjoying my music.

Can you write a piece for our special event?

Absolutely. I can compose a personalised piece just for the occasion.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive 30 minutes before an event to set up, familiarise myself with the surrounding. I play up to 2 hours, usually without a break. Because I am having fun! Totally booking time is up to 3 hours usually, but I am flexible.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, if i have power and some cover from the elements.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I try to personalise the wedding or special event by creating original arrangements of some of the clients favourite music. I then intersperse them into existing repertoire. i always feel it is important to read the room and build an atmosphere with the repertoire. I also improvise with a loop pedal which helps judge the mood.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

I am always touched by the charming and positive responses to my performances. They most like how personal i make it to their day.

Do you play various styles of guitar?

I do. I play classical, jazz, latin, spanish and do covers of pop, rock hits. I have also travelled around Ibiza with a DJ playing Balearic guitar improvisation around dance tracks. I can be versatile.
