The Iconic Ceilidh Band Dynamic and vibrant ceilidh band

Based in Glasgow, The Iconic Ceilidh Band travels all over Scotland, Ireland and England providing beautiful and uplifting traditional dance music for all types of parties, including weddings, birthdays and charity events. With a strong and patient caller, everybody is included and encouraged to dance in the ceilidhs, and the toe-tapping music itself makes it impossible for the party-goers to stay in their seats.

Alternatively, if the event only requires great traditional music rather than a ceilidh, we have a huge repertoire and can keep any crowd entertained with reels, jigs, hornpipes, waltzes, polkas and airs.

The standard line up is a trio consisting of three professional musicians: a fiddler, a bagpiper/flute, and guitarist, with one of the musicians doubling up as the caller for the dances. The band can be expanded to a 4 or 5 piece on request, which usually means the addition of a drummer or another tune player such as accordion.

The price given for each event includes us providing the PA system and lights. We also offer a disco after the ceilidh, playing your playlists with room for requests as the night progresses, or we can read the room and curate all the party songs ourselves.
