We need 2 power sockets and one or two parking spaces depending on performance format.
We bring our own PA system to gigs but we don't provide lighting.
I need directions to the venue, information about parking and driving restrictions, and the name and contact number of the lead organiser.
Yes!
My favourite international performance was at Singapore River Festival. I've also enjoyed playing at festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, Shambala, Bristol Harbour Festival and Bristol Balloon Fiesta. I love playing in concert halls such as St George's Bristol and the Royal Festival Hall in London.
I love Brazilian music such as bossa nova, especially the compositions of Antônio Carlos Jobim. In terms of jazz, my influences are Art Pepper, Paul Desmond, Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley and more current players such as Jan Garbarek. I love playing songs by popular artists such as Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder and Freddie McGregor.
I've been playing saxophone since I was 9 years old. My Dad was a saxophone player and arranger and I used to follow his bands. I've been performing regularly for over 30 years.
I play all kinds of events but weddings are my favourite. I like to provide a relaxing ambience whilst guests are assembling and also love to play atmospheric statement pieces chosen by clients during ceremonies.
For a solo performance I need 30 minutes to set up. If I'm working with an ensemble of up to four musicians, we usually arrive an hour before the performance to set up. In a solo performance usually perform 2 x 45 minute sets. If I'm working with an ensemble of up to four musicians, this can be extended.
I can perform outside provided that there is shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
I always provide clients with a sample set list and ask in advance if they have any particular song or music choices that they would like to hear. I can play a wide variety of songs and can accommodate suitable song requests in advance.
An uplifting addition to a special event.
