About / Biography

Hi, I’m Ryan — a professional singer-guitarist with over 20 years of live performance experience.

I offer:

  • Solo acoustic – Upbeat or relaxed, versatile live music ideal for daytime events, garden parties, evening sets, weddings days and ceremonies.
  • Duo (guitar & drummer) – a fuller, more dynamic sound with live percussion, vocals and guitar with added backing tracks perfect for busier venues and evening events where you want more energy without a full band price tag.
  • Full band - full on high energy dance floor fillers perfect for evening entertainment.

All options cover a wide range of modern chart, pop, indie, rock, and classic sing-alongs, and I always tailor the set to suit the venue and crowd — from laid-back background music to upbeat, engaging performances.

I’m fully self-contained with professional PA and lights and can also provide playlist music between live sets or a manned DJ service to keep the atmosphere flowing throughout the event.

Pricing varies depending on whether you choose solo or duo, along with timings, location, and event type, so I’m always happy to have a quick chat and recommend the best option for your budget.

Looking forward to hearing about your event.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

A decent space to perform with a couple of sockets and a parking space. Space requirement will vary between solo, duo and band.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I am fully self sufficient - we have our own professional PA and lighting.

I have multiple sound systems and lighting rigs suited for most events from 20 up to 500 people and am experienced at delivering a good sound.

What information do you require about a venue?

I would usually just require a location and a contact - I have worked in many venues so am very versatile and used to adapting to most situations.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I’m happy to play a playlist between sets or I can also provide a manned DJ booth if required. I usually work with clients to understand and their needs and how interactive they wish to make their event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I headlined Cheltenham race week for the gold cup day for 4000 people. It was an amazing feeling and been asked back to perform many times since.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Lots of artists have shaped me. My sound mainly shaped my more modern acts - Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol, George Ezra etc but have delved into a variety of artists actress the years from 50s to current, being in the wedding scene. I love putting my sound onto a well known favourite.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I’ve been performing live for over 20 years, starting out as a young guitarist playing local pubs and events before building a full-time career in live music. Over the years I’ve played hundreds of weddings, parties, corporate events and festivals across the UK, performing both solo and as part of duos and bands.

That experience means I’m very comfortable reading a room, adapting on the fly, and delivering the right songs and energy for every moment — whether that’s laid-back background music or a packed dance floor later in the evening.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I just like keeping guests happy. I like interacting in intimate settings or filling a dance floor.

Do you play wedding drinks?

I love playing during the wedding drinks. I love entertaining whist the bride and groom are enjoying their day.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive 1-2 hours before the performance depending on which act (solo/duo/band) I am setting up.

I usually perform for 2-2.5hrs split into two sets which I shape around the event.

Are you happy to perform outside?

I’m happy to play in or outdoors and have done many times.

I have battery powered speakers for my solo act which allows me to play anywhere, but would require power for band situations.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients absolutely have a say in what I play. I have a large repertoire of around 500 songs, and I always encourage couples and clients to let me know their favourites and any must-play or do-not-play songs.

I’m also very happy to guide the music on the night based on the atmosphere and the crowd, ensuring everything flows naturally and keeps guests engaged.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients often describe my performances as professional, upbeat and engaging, while also being friendly and easy to work with. I’m frequently praised for creating the right atmosphere, reading the room, and making guests feel relaxed and involved from start to finish.

Can we provide a playlist inbetween sets?

Yes of course. I can also provide one or a full DJ service.

Can you learn a first dance?

I have learnt and performed many first dances. I’m happy to discuss this of course.

Can you play during the ceremony?

I can play live or provide music for the entrance, the signing of the register and the exit. I have done this many times in churches, fields, woodlands, halls and many more.
