I am a professional classical guitarist with many years of experience playing for all types of events throughout the UK including Weddings, Ceremonies, Receptions, Corporate events and Concerts.
As a result, I have a vast repertoire of music covering many genres including, Classical, Spanish, Latin, Jazz and Popular. Clients can also request favourite pieces/songs as well as particular styles such as just classical or Spanish or combinations.
All music is played on Solo Spanish Guitar using high-quality amplification equipment to create great atmospheric background music leaving room for your guests to chat and enjoy each other's company.
In common with all my previous clients you will be delighted with all aspects of my service. I am easily contactable and clients are free to call to discuss details at any time.
Please note that all equipment is PAT tested and I have full Public Liability Insurance, which is often required by the venue.

If the client has some specific music to play I would be happy to play it through my PA system. I would need advance notice to be sure that it is possible depending on the format. I also have a microphone which is available for speeches and announcements - within the contracted hours.
I had a great time in Paphos Cyprus playing both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble. I also fondly recall meeting Ken Dodd at a wedding. He was the brides uncle and true to form he had us all in stitches during his wedding speech. Afterwards he thanked me and we had a lengthy chat about his show biz life.
I have been influenced by classical guitarist John Williams as well as Brian May of Queen and Jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery. There are too many songs to have a specific fave but I enjoy anything that pleases the audience.
I always enjoyed sharing my music and took every possible opportunity to play in front of an audience. I have since performed all over the UK in concerts, weddings, corporate events and parties plus numerous performances in Cyprus.
The events vary so much that its not easy to pick. However, when playing a concert and everyone is listening intently that is always a thrill, but so is providing background music at a private event and seeing the guests smiling and tapping their feet to the music they love to hear.
Yes I can but please let me know asap so that I can learn the piece(s) if not already in my repertoire.
Yes, I can be flexible - within reason - as I understand that sometimes timings can change a little at various events such as during weddings.
yes, during a ceremony I would normally play as 1.Guests arrive/are being seated. 2. The Brides Entrance. 3. The Signing of the Registrar. 4. As the Bride and Groom depart followed by the congregation.
Yes, this is something I do regularly. For this part of the wedding I would normally play a wide range of music in various styles such as Popular, Classical, Jazz and Spanish. This can be in the venue or outdoors.
Yes I enjoy playing outdoors especially on a warm sunny day. However, if it starts to rain I would not be able to continue unless under cover.
Yes I can as I use a cordless pick up system.
Yes I can play for multiple parts of the Wedding Day. A common request is for music for the Ceremony, followed by the Drinks Reception and the Wedding Breakfast.
No, I do not use backing tracks.
This can vary depending on the venue, but I always arrive with plenty of time to spare to set up in the best position. On average I would say it takes around 30 minutes.
Yes, this is possible (as I have a microphone available) so long as it takes place within the contracted time period.
Yes, I regularly play at Corporate Events and would be delighted to provide some great music for your event.
I play a 6 string nylon strung Guitar made in Madrid Spain, by the famous Ramirez Guitar Company.
Yes you can. Its very common for clients to do this.
Arrival: I always arrive with plenty of time to spare in order to deal with potential problems that can catch you out if in a rush. I am very flexible re performance times but a typical event would be for two or three sets of around 50 minutes each.
Setup time will vary depending on the situation but is usually between 30 to 60 minutes. Pack up time is quicker at about 20 minutes.
Yes, playing outside is a real pleasure but if there is rain it must be under cover. I can also wander around whilst playing.
Clients often have a say regarding the type of repertoire they want. This is particularly evident with respect to wedding ceremonies where they will often request specific pieces. However, there are many occasions where they will just leave it up to me to play a varied repertoire.
Very polite and responsive. Professional, friendly and reliable. Good interaction with guests. Great variety of music.
