"I just wanted to thank you again for your delightful playing at Harriet & Jack’s wedding last Saturday at Fletching Church. In particular, you accepted our request to play ‘Farewell to Stromness’, not on your normal repertoire, recorded your mother for the piano backing track, and moreover within an hour or so of the service, adapted the piece, again at our request. You played this beautifully for the entrance of the bride; it was very moving. Thank you again from us all."

They were surprised by the versatility of the cello, as demonstrated by the imaginative and varied programme of classical, jazz and show pieces you played, and of course by your virtuosity.
