Review Centre: Bands with DJ's

"The setting for our August 2018 wedding was the beautiful Arnos Vale’s Woodland Undercroft. There was a “Gothic Lite” theme to this largely (we had a marquee!) outdoor event which we wanted to be as informal as possible. It was important to us that everybody who was attending or contributing to the event felt that they were able to participate in the occasion as guests. For this reason we wanted musicians who we felt would “fit in” the with guests as well as playing the type of music that we wanted . Having trawled through various websites we discovered the “Hot Hats” and, having played their version of “Friday I’m In Love”, knew that we didn’t need to look any further. The sound was great and the image of the band was just what we wanted. Having then seen the band play a couple of times, it was clear that the personalities and sound was just what we wanted. As there was no particular running order for our afternoon reception, our brief to the band was, basically, “play when you think you need to” and this worked a treat. In addition we were played down the aisle to the band playing “I’m A Believer” which was a really special moment for us. There was good communication at the point of booking which was a painless process and continued contact with Alfie and his agent made arranging the event so much easier. We loved the band and the guests loved them as well. We would therefore have no hesitation in recommending the “Hot Hats” for your event. Martin & Nikki P.S. If there was a downside to our afternoon it was that Alfie (despite his best efforts) was unable to teach the bride to properly strum a guitar but, in the overall scheme of things, we’ll let that pass!"

"The Weekend Groove played at our wedding at Sopley Mill on 1st October. They were amazing!! The dance floor was permanently full all night! Everyone kept saying how brilliant they were, with comments like 'best wedding band they had ever heard' and 'where did you find these guys, they are so good!' They definitely made the night, and everyone had such a great time. They sang our first dance song, which made it that extra bit special. We loved it! If anyone is thinking of choosing this band, then do it, you won't be disappointed. Best of luck with everything. "

"Thanks for everything on the night mate, you and the band absolutely smashed it! Everybody had an amazing time and there were a few sore throats/hangovers in the morning. It was a bit of shame it had to end so early, as I think everybody was quite up for kicking on quite late, but it was an amazing day for the both of us topped of with an amazing party in the evening. "What an amazing band!! I booked them for my 40th birthday bash and wow do they know how to fill a dance floor?!! Hugely talented musicians and the most incredible vocalist performing hit after hit.. didn’t want them to finish!! Loads of people commented on how fantastic they were! "From confirming the booking to making our wedding day an amazing party, Sax Life were fantastic. Professional and easy to communicate with they took all our wants and song list and made the day and night for us and our guests. They blended seamlessly into the venue, looking great and working with the venue staff to make our special day. The venue manager also told us how great they were. The first dance was made extra special with the sax and we couldn't be happier. I would recommend to anyone planning their special day."
