Review Centre: Party Bands

"Cover Tree played at our wedding in July this year and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them highly. I originally booked the guys after hearing some of their stuff online and reading reviews about how easy they were to deal with, these reviews were absolutely true. We made various unusual requests all of which were accommodated enthusiastically by the band including allowing our drunken guests to have a go at ‘bandaoke’ (which sounded dreadful until Paul helped out with the singing) but was great fun. They learned to play our first dance as well as another song which we both love, and they nailed both of them. If you want a really nice group of guys, who enjoy what they do, are easy going and super nice to you and the venue staff at your event then you could not do better than booking this band. Thanks guys, you really were the icing on the cake of our fantastic wedding."

"We booked Party Gangsters for a 70th Birthday and they went down an absolute treat. A well thought through range of 60s,70s,80s and 90s music really well delivered with great sounds and harmonies. They were so well received that the wedding in the other function room gate-crashed our dance floor. I will book them again without hesitation.  "

"I've wanted to try live music in our little Country pub for the longest time and Lucy and Jack were so great I'll definitely be having them back again and again. Engaging, entertaining, and had people up dancing all night. Can't recommend enough!"

"Became big fans of Goldsworth Gerry after seeing them a few times at our local - a top quality duo who play well known and well loved bangers that you can’t help but get up and dance to! Booked for a private party and they were a joy to work with, great comms and made everything run super smoothly, genuinely nice guys (and support gal!)"

"We hired The Pocket Rockers for our wedding 31.8.19 at The Dancing Man Brewery and we can’t express how amazing they are. Nice, genuine guys and happy to help with anything. Not only did they do an amazing job on the day and fit in with our orange colour theme, they learnt our first dance song which was ‘A million dreams’, a very difficult song but they pulled it off brilliantly and to top it off even recorded it! And it’s the best video EVER!! I can’t thank you enough for capturing it! There was nothing but great feedback given to us about TPR’s by our guests!! Thank you again guys!"

"Thank you Sarah Jane and Glorious Grooves! We really enjoyed listening to and dancing to the live music at our wedding. The band were very flexible, going out of their way to accommodate a change to their set-up time a couple of weeks before the event. On the day, they were really friendly and the standard of the music was high. We both thought it would have been even better if the volume on Gloria's mic had been slightly louder, but it was a small detail in an otherwise brilliant two-hour set. Thanks again!"

"Excellent service from ‘last minute musicians ‘ very friendly and efficient. Expensive service however! Our band ‘Northern Ceilidh’ were excellent too, a superb range of music and dances all ‘called’ clearly and sympathetically particularly with our varied group. "The singer, Amy, confided to the audience at one point that it was her prerogative to steer the set at her whim, keeping the rest of the band on their toes. And so they moved from bossanova to a favourite ballad and back again via bluesy tunes and toe tapping swing. This she did with seemingly effortless style, and her colleagues were more than up to the challenge. Her voice is beautiful, expressive, powerful. She can deliver heartbreak in like three notes. This quartet of talented professionals works great together. I think the whole audience left with massive grins on their faces."
