Review Centre: Party Bands

"Following a huge achievement of winning a prestigious industry award, we arranged for a secret day of celebrations for our 100 employees at our offices. We arranged for The Ace Jazz Band to kick off the celebrations by entering our office playing the most energetic and uplifting music which was a wonderful surprise to staff who eagerly jumped up out of their seats to follow the marching band and dance their way around the office. The place was 'buzzing' everyone LOVED it. We had numerous surprises for everyone but The Ace Jazz Band was by far the highlight and what people remember the most about the day. They are fantastic. You can't help but get up on your feet and dance along. We will definitely be hiring them again for future events - we can't wait for them to play for us again! "

"Good Morning Suzanna, I am sorry that I have not dropped you a line before but I have been very busy catching up on things I neglected in the run up to the Standish evening. Just to say thanks to you and all the band for helping to make a great evening. Compliments from residents and friends, on the evening as a whole and the band in particular, have been universal. It was wonderful to see the community have such a good time and for the event to be so inclusive for all age groups. In addition we made @£1,000 for the Church so not bad for a first attempt. "Hi. We just want to thank you again for an amazing night. You really made our evening such a success. All of our guests have commented how great you were and you even got people on the dance floor that don't usually dance (in public anyway). You nailed our first dance song, couldn't of been happier with it. You were prompt in setting up and gave 110% all night. Again thank you for a wonderful time."

"We would like to say a massive thank you to The Leathernecks for making our evening reception so amazing and memorable! Communication leading up to the wedding was quick and easy. We were able to customise the set lists with our favourite songs and the band even learnt to play our first dance song! On the evening the band were friendly and easy to talk to and arrived with plenty of time to set up. Their set was amazing and got lots of people up dancing! Since the wedding people have commented on how great the band were and that they really enjoyed listening to them. The Leathernecks really did make our evening and we would highly recommend them! Thank you! "

"We hired Glo to play at my husband’s birthday party in our Garden - and they did not disappoint! Everything about the band was perfect, from their professionalism, set up, friendliness, set list and sound! They were very flexible to our song requests and really made our night a truly memorable one. All our guests remarked on how amazing the band were and we couldn’t agree more. The best decision we’ve made. Thanks once again, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will certainly use again "

The lead singer was excellent as well as the rest of the band and the guitars! They also did a great job of interacting with the audience and the dance floor was always full. "House of chords performed at our wedding last month, they were amazing and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a band for their event!!!! It is quite daunting picking a wedding band just from reviews and snippets of their music from websites etc and with so many bands out there to choose from. We really liked the set list on their website as in addition to the usual songs that we kept seeing on wedding band websites they had more variety spanning several decades with more of an indie and soul vibe – perfect! We learnt that house of chords had played at our venue before (Pendrell Hall) and so we seeked the venues opinion – after a glowing review we went ahead and booked them about a year before our wedding. In the lead up the the big day Mike called us and we had a nice long chat as to what music we liked and set out a plan for the wedding evening. Mike really put us at ease during this phone call, and gave us faith that we had made an excellent choice in our band for the wedding. The band sorted out with the venue directly all the boring stuff like pat certificates etc. They had no problems setting up and were flexible with timings when our speeches ran over. Brilliant music and played a load of our requests from their live repertoire list and also for the dj music in between and after their sets. They got everyone dancing and played a good range of music to suit different ages! It was a great end to a perfect day – was able to relax & dance the night away! Would not hesitate in recommending them and wish them all the best for the future!"
