"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how fantastic the band were at our wedding at Christmas. They 'read the room' perfectly, and delivered an excellent performance that created a great atmosphere and got the room dancing! Their unique style of delivering well known songs with a gypsy / folk twist was really well received as they didn't try to replicate the song exactly- making them less of a cover band which was just what we wanted. They were also super easy to work with and really relaxed on the day. The fact they also learnt a new song for our first dance was really special! I would not hesitate to recommend them! "

"The Flamingos had our wedding guests on their feet all night! As a smaller wedding of only about 40 guests, we were a bit nervous if we would be able to fill the dance floor. But with The Flamingos we need not have worried! They combine incredible musical talent with real creativity and energy and the ability to get--and keep!--a party going. They also went above and beyond--learning our first dance song from scratch and giving us a beautiful rendition of it. We are so grateful to have been able to book them for our wedding! "

"These guys are ace! DDB recently performed at our wedding, after extensive research into wedding bands we finally chose deep down brass. To say that we were pleased is an understatement. The guys were very helpful and it was obvious they cared! Great musicians and and we had many many compliments throughout the day! Will be booking again for our anniversary party! "

"Brilliant talented musicians in a 3-man option of the band with great lead vocals and lovely, straightforward admin. Fun on the night, fun and polite interaction with the guests to encourage everyone to get dancing and music so good then we didn’t want it to stop we were all having so much fun! Fantastic Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis numbers and lots more. And very kindly had learned and played our special request song, The Wonder of You. Even better in real life than all the online clips and lovely people, a joy to book and brought a lot of joy on the night."

"We came across Swing Gitan at the Nottingham Contemporary and were both taken by their energetic and uplifting sound delivered in a skilled and playful fashion. Since then we have had the pleasure of seeing quite a few of their gigs and never been disappointed and so when we were considering who to book for our wedding last august the choice was easy. We wanted music for music lovers that people could also dance to and were no disappointed. The whole process of booking the band and arranging the specifics as well as asking them to learn the Waltz that we intended to dance to was just really straight forward and pleasurable which was certainly helped by Elliott’s easygoing ways and quiet confidence that this would turn out the way we had hoped. We feel very lucky and blessed to have had the good fortune together such good people for our wedding occasion and the presence of Swing Gitan was a large part of that. Indeed, it was a testament to the success of the band that people of all backgrounds and ages loved their performances and demonstrated this through dancing, shouting and cheering throughout the night. Needless to say, we would highly recommend this band to anyone seeking a great sounding and quirky gypsy jazz band! "

"Ruby is charismatic, with a charming patter, along with a vivacious singing style. She is a versatile singer with a wide repertoire, which allows her to gauge the audience and perform material that gets a good response. Guests were spontaneously singing and clapping along during our event. She is also very professional, arriving promptly and with quick set up of PA system. She is well presented, dressing for the occasion both at our event and at heritage events where she has also impressed. Highly recommended for Masonic Ladies Festivals, heritage attractions or anywhere that wants to put a smile on the audience’s faces and leave humming familiar tunes on the way home."

"After a long search for a Jazz & Swing band for my partner's 50th, I contacted What's New. They were in contact with me immediately and we quickly and easily made the booking. Sam was great with communication and we were able to discuss repertoire etc. They were the perfect band for a birthday party and immensely talented at what they do. If you're looking for an effortlessly cool, contemporary jazz and swing band to entertain and perform beautiful arrangements, this is the band for you."
