Review Centre: Soul Bands

"I was given the responsibility of choosing the entertainment for our wedding and I knew I had found the right group when I came across Detroit Deluxe. Their repertoire of songs stood out from the others as they cover multiple genres without all the modern cliché covers. The vocalists were outstanding and spent time with us chatting after the 2 sets which was a really nice moment. I have had several guests ask me for their details after the wedding. They were outstanding professionals and had people on the dance floor all evening. They suggested us a set list and we changed a few of the tracks with no issue. Their cover of our chosen track by Ben Howard was exceptional and still gives me goosebumps when I listen back to it now. Thanks so much to the band and say no more I would of course recommend them. They truly made our day. "

"Wow - what a band, absolutely incredible!! We are huge fans of funk, soul & motown and Flo Collective had everything covered! They absolutely made our wedding party, Flo has an incredible voice and they had people dancing all night! We genuinely couldn't have asked for more and it was without doubt, one of the best bookings we made for our wedding. Flo was also incredibly helpful & efficient throughout the whole booking process which is a real bonus. Thank you so so so much for making our wedding so amazing! (10 / 10)"

The band were brilliant on the day and we would highly recommend GG and The Soul Swingers for any event, wedding or otherwise. "Wow, wow, wow! These guys are incredible! We booked the Embassy band for 2 parts of our wedding - first a sax and a keyboard for the wedding ceremony itself and then a 6-piece for the evening reception. Luke was fabulous during the organisation process, with excellent communication and very accommodating with our special requests for particular songs that the group had not performed before. He very much made us feel at ease that everything would go smoothly. The sax and keys at the church were brilliant - they learned a new piece for my entry music, played beautifully during the service and for the register signing, then rocked our exit music! Then the evening reception….this blew our mind! From start to finish the energy of this group was out of this world! Their three vocalists complimented each other perfectly and they were so engaging with the guests. The music was on point with not a note out of place and their sound guy worked hard to make sure everything sounded perfect. The range of music they performed meant that there was something for everyone (every guest commented on how amazing these guys are!) and they absolutely nailed our first dance song. I felt that they truly wanted my day to be special and their performances were wonderful - Francesca was absolutely great and feedback from our guests was top notch regarding all three, there was entertainment for everyone."

"Absolutely fantastic. We held joint 50th/21st and 18th; Everyone was dancing all night long. The band were amazing and loved by all generations. Rhona was very professional in the organisation and very accommodating and the band were exceptional. It made the party - thank you."
