"We were so pleased to have you play at our wedding on 23rd July 2016. We arrived at Prestwold Hall to the accompaniment of saxophone music floating out of the open windows. A number of guests said they had enjoyed your music during the photos and during the meal. We appreciated the fact that you were able to stay on for longer than originally planned. "If you read only ONE line of this review...BOOK THE VINTAGE VOCALIST FOR YOUR EVENT! From the initial phone contact with Paula to her saying goodbye on the day, our time and experience was 100% positive in every way. My wife and I were able to choose from a huge set list of songs from various musical era's and genre's and Paula seamlessly organised all our favourites into a cracking party playlist for the wedding reception. By the third song, she had guests up dancing and by the second set, my 86 year old Auntie (who walks with two sticks), was throwing her shapes on the dance floor! Paula absolutely made our wedding day! We had guests from the age of 7 to 86 and we can honestly say that each and every one of them loved Paula's performance. Many spoke to her themselves to thank and praise her and many more told us how impressed they were and that they'd be either booking her themselves or would attend venues she'd be performing at in the future! Paula looked stunning in her classy vintage dress and her fabulous voice entertained our party and the local York residents, who sat out on their apartment balconies with a drink to lap up the free entertainment! What makes Paula so special, is that she instantly felt like a friend and a guest, not a singer we'd booked for our wedding entertainment. Her warm, open and down-to-earth personality, instantly puts you at ease and she has a brilliant Yorkshire accent and sense of humour! I loved that as I returned from the bar with a drink to keep her refreshed during her break, I found Paula sat amongst all my family, laughing and joking. We felt happy to see her enjoying the day with us and confident that our entertainment was in good hands. Our 8 year old son was desperate to sing a duet with Paula and we loved how accommodating and kind she was. Some artists would be precious about their professional set being gatecrashed unexpectedly, but Paula embraced the request and handed him his own microphone! Our family really liked and admired her for going with the flow and making the day special for everyone. So if you're considering booking The Vintage Vocalist and need a little persuasion to choose this incredibly talented Yorkshire lass, let me leave you with this... I showed my son the official wedding photo's and laughed at how happy he looked on his photo's with Paula and he turned to me and said... "What you laughing at Mummy?...I was living my BEST LIFE that day!!" I think coming from an 8 year old boy...that says it all."

"Tzigauners played at our garden party and we could not have asked for a better band. They arrived on time, set up without a fuss and were really friendly throughout. If you like Jazz and in particular Gypsy Jazz, this band is perfect. Nice guys, will be in touch for next year's party."

"We would like to send a big thank you for such great entertainment at my son's wedding. You were fantastic and we have had so many comments on your great performance. The disco in the evening was perfect and you got most people up which was some feat! We are going to try and see again when we can focus 100% on you! The wedding day went so fast and I know we missed a lot, everyone has commented on a great day and thank you for being part of it. P.S. You got my husband's Italian aunt up to sing and that made her day, in fact I think she now wants to do duets with you!"

"Keith played bagpipes at our memorial rugby match and Plaque unveiling for a fallen Firefighter and rugby player. We were delighted with Keith's correspondence throughout the booking. He turned up well before the time asked and was immaculately dressed in Cornish Hunting Tartan and played the pipes superbly. The whole occasion was a great success but Keith was the finishing touch and added a real bit of class. Thank you and I recommend using Spirit of Skye piping to anyone."
