"Black Velvet Band helped make the Souldern Village Ceilidh a great success. Ours was a Village event with all ages and the Band got all ages dancing. They played superbly and brought a caller with a good sense of fun. They provided music to dance to, music to listen to and an entertainment show all in one! On a practical level they were professionally early arriving, leaving the event organiser relaxed and free to have a drink! Greatly appreciated in all regards. Ian Grey"

"We want to thank It's No' Reel for a fabulous experience. They were professional from start to finish and their organisation is excellent. They were very open to be being flexible with the ceilidh and disco options. We even had a Skype call just to introduce each other and to explain what we wanted which is much better than email. The ceilidh was brilliant and as we had friends and family from different countries, the calling was clear and easy to understand. Everyone had so much fun, it was the perfect end to the day. Afterwards we received a video montage of the ceilidh which we have shared with our friends and family, a lovely added extra which we were not expecting. If you are looking for a ceilidh band, I would DEFINITELY recommend It's No' Reel, if you have half as much fun as we did you will not be disappointed!"

"Hi John, It's Ruth here - the Birthday girl from the Klezmer Keilidh on 20th Apr. I wanted to thank you and Band for a simply wonderful evening. Everyone had a fabulous time, people have come up and said to me "as soon as the Band started playing" they just had to "get up and dance!" Another friend said that he had the "Best fun ever" The first piece was great at getting everyone up and involved. Really fun. Then I appreciated being able to lead Tsadik Katamar, and Jerusalama. Having some dances in 2s, and other in 3s allowed for those who came as a couple, or who came on their own to join with others. Thank you so, so much, again. Best wishes, Ruth"

"Nova on Piano is an absolute joy to have around - as well as being a wonderful singer and pianist, she has a friendly, bubbly personality & knew exactly what we needed at our recent JamFest music festival when we asked her to sing & play inbetween set changes - she was the perfect choice. "I encountered Joanna in late 2015 at a cabaret, where her vocal texture immediately stood out. It was a pleasure to have her as part of the cabaret-style event I organised for my birthday and wedding the following summer, which included her singing a song I'd written for her. She was professional throughout, including in her stage presence, and her four-song set was a wonderful opener to the evening entertainment, delighting me and startling some of the guests. I could listen to the rich, cosseting quality of her low notes all day."
