Review Centre: Party Bands

"Having met Shama and the 515 Crew at a couple of events I photographed over he last 2 years, it was without question that we would be using them whenever we had a family event. Last weekend, my brother and I threw our parents a surprise 65th birthday party and I was super excited to have secured a booking for this auspicious occasion with the 515 crew and they most certainly didn’t disappoint!!! They arrived promptly to setup and worked within the limited space we had at our venue without any complaints. I asked Shama if the group would be able to play a handful of my dads favourite songs from the 70’s and 80’s era including Santana, Wilson Picket and James Brown and although it was material that they hadn’t done before, they took time to rehearse in the week and surprised us with their amazing delivery on the main night. My dad and guests were over the moon! I’ve had nothing but positive comments from our guests on the 515 Crew’s super professional musical ability and singing. Their Indian songs took our guests back into time and found it refreshing to hear some of the old bollywood songs with a modern and current feel. I really cannot express how delighted myself, my parents and our guests are with the 515 Crew. I dealt with Shama from the initial phone call to check on the teams availability and she’s always been a pleasure to deal with including on the night itself. I most certainly will be using them when we have another event and will be recommending them to my clients too! "The band were absolutely amazing, we had them for an acoustic set at the start of the evening, which was outside due to some fab weather, this was followed by them performing our first dance, we were a little concerned they would not know it as most people had never heard of it! But they did a fantastic job! They then really got the party started and I can honestly say there was no point in the whole night where the dance floor was not full! I was absolutely amazed with their energy and choice of music, they read our guests and atmosphere really well and we could not have asked for a better evening! Would definitely recommend them. xx"

"I cannot recommend Girl Got Soul highly enough. We weren't sure if having a wedding band would be a sensible use of our budget, but we're so glad we hired Girl Got Soul. They went down a storm. The singing is beautiful, they got our guests dancing, and they were great fun to watch. We had one set of Jazz (All That Jazz) and one party set, and both were great. Communication was excellent, the band worked with me on the setlist and were very nice in reassuring me that my requests weren't bridezilla-ish. :)"

"Rose was wonderful with the “oldies” - although we had 6 songs for them to join in with a sing- a- long they joined in with everything!! She encouraged people to join in and to get up and dance, my 90 year old mum was up dancing with her friends. It was absolutely wonderful and they haven’t stopped talking about it - a wonderful time was had by all. One of the highlights was a lady,who doesn’t interact much and is wheelchair bound, as soon as Rose started singing she was tapping her hands and was swaying in time to the music - an emotional moment. My mother was unaware that we had booked Rose who managed to set up very discretely, she was very friendly and accommodating. The guests were thrilled with her choice of songs and commented on her lovely voice. She was the highlight of the 90th party celebrations - Would recommend her 100%."

"I booked Nev & Russ to perform at a mini festival I'd organised for my dad. They are such lovely guys, absolutely brilliant performers, and did an amazing job at getting the party started. They had also kindly learnt and performed one of my dad's favourite songs which I was really grateful for. Thanks so much for helping to make the day really special!"
