Review Centre: 1920s, 30s & 40s Style Bands

"Dear Jessica, I am emailing you to say thank you, on behalf of all our residents at Morden College, for the wonderful performances you have given for them during the last 12 months. This has been a trying 14 months, to say the least; our residents in particular have struggled with the realities of a constrained life, without the levels of contact with family and friends that they would normally expect. Bringing something into their lives that takes their mind off thoughts of isolation and loneliness has been essential; you Jessica have helped hugely, perhaps even more than you realise. Your fabulous voice, and your repertoire on each occasion brings great joy, and hope to so many. Not just residents either, staff have loved to hear you sing. I know you are programmed in to return in July I think. We shall all look forward to that. Best wishes, David RJ "

"We organised an event with the band in March 2014. It was a very enjoyable night with an increase in our sales as we orgnised it as an special night with special dinner and the band. All our customers have a wonderful evening and we did received very good feedback for future events. The band was brilliant and they play two sets without being very intrusive or loud. Our customers had the chance to received something different and if the time comes right is something I will like to repeat again. Thank you All that Jazz!!!"

"Gena & Ginfizzers played at a recent family birthday party, they were fantastic. The diversity of set was great for the guests, we were all thoroughly entertained and there was plenty to dance to. We were able to go through the set before the event and ask for special requests which was a bonus. I especially liked how cohesive the band were - there is a vibrant energy shared amongst them all which shines through in their performance. I would highly recommend then and will definitely be using them again! "

"When my husband and I celebrated our 50th birthdays we wanted a cool and sophisticated party, so we planned a summer party in a marquee in the garden. Joel and Ben created the perfect atmosphere playing their soulful jazz. Everyone thought they were amazing! I would thoroughly recommend them."

"Just wanted to pass on my thanks to you and Chateaux Swing for their performance yesterday. It was just exactly the best of what I was hoping for when I booked you, they were absolutely brilliant, perfect for the event, and my dad (who’s not been well) loved it. I couldn’t work out how you were going to do a bossa nova with the instruments you had, but I hadn’t factored in the multi talents of your bassist! And I shall never again listen to J’attendrai without thinking of English cats…. I can’t give you anything but love was a particular highlight for me (though actually also come to think of it, Putting on the Ritz and Honeysuckle Rose), but people loved Football’s coming home too; and Sweet Sue went down really well with my mum. It just couldn’t have been better in any way, we were so delighted and they really made the whole day, thank you so much,"

"We booked Lucinda to sing at my husband’s 40th birthday party and I don’t think I can write a review positive enough to give her justice for how incredibly fabulous she was! From the ease of the booking process…so personal, patient and warm…to the insanely magnificent performance at the party. It’s still what everyone talks about, the amazing singer! I can’t recommend her talent enough. "

"Trip for Biscuits played at our wedding and I could not recommend them enough. We were looking for a particular style which was hard to find in Bristol but I am so glad we did not give up on our search and came across this band! Lots of guests have commented on how great the band were too and the dance floor was evidence they really added to the day. Thank you!"

"We had a great evening last Saturday with Through the Decades doing a wonderful job singing a mix of Motown and 70's hits. Emily from the group was great to deal with before the night. All the people we have spoken to said they had a great time"
