Review Centre: 1920s, 30s & 40s Style Bands

"I booked Tom and his band a couple of weeks before my wedding as a surprise for my groom. Communication was quick and easy, booking was really simple and they met all of my requests (including setting up in half the time they would usually do so that they could avoid being spotted by the groom!) The music was fantastic, went down very well with our guests who commented on how perfect an accompaniment the music was to our drinks reception. They even got the kids having a boogie! Thanks so much guys, definitely highly recommended by us!!! "

"Swing Gitan provided the musical entertainment for a ‘significant ‘ birthday party of mine . I knew they were good , but honestly they were phenomenal and I will certainly be booking them again for my next big celebration . I would recommend them to anyone wanting fabulous lively musical entertainment . Great to listen to but even better to dance to"

"I booked The BV's to perform at The Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh on 20th May 2017 as part of a programme to present some of the finest acts from Edinbugh and beyond in the iconic setting of Palm Court. Since then I have booked The BV's a number of times and have come to rely on their high standard of performance and their flexible approach particularly in the different musician line ups they can offer for different performances. "The Rampart Street Ramblers played a wonderful mix of music at our wedding as guests arrived, mingled and drank at our wedding reception. The weather was not as dry as we'd hoped, so the band moved around to various places around the venue to entertain different groups. Beforehand, Dai called me and was very happy to cater to our specific tastes and needs. So many of our guests told us they were great, and at least one couple have asked for their details for their wedding too. My only disappointment was I didn't get to hear them much as I was being dragged off in all directions. "

"You know how you read some reviews and you think it must have been one of the band or a member of the family? Beleive me this isn't one of them. Nicola and the boys were absolutely perfect. Everyone and I mean everyone had the best time. Such an intimate experience with a fabulous band. Our wedding was like an interactive later with Jools Holland gig. We couldn't be happier with the quality of music, atttitude and overall professionalism of Nicola and the boys. Would we have them again at another event? We wouldn't consider anyone else. There are so many "wedding bands" with standard generic chart music out there. If you want a charismatic performance with timeless music perfectly played don't waste your time looking anywhere else. We couldn't get our guests off of the bloody dance floor and there was also a much loved encore!! Nicola we can't thank you and the boys enough. You made our day spectacular.
