"We booked the Black Velvet Band Gypsy Duo (accordion and fiddle) to play at our wedding celebration garden party in August. Mike and Jase played exactly the music we wanted, a lovely mix of traditional, modern, jazz, Irish and were happy to play requests. We live on a farm and when the duo started up, all our cows came running up the field and stayed close to enjoy the lovely sounds coming from the garden. I have to say, the two were perfect for our garden party and the sound of the fiddle and accordion ringing out into the evening was absolutely lovely and was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests whose ages ranged from six to ninety! Mike and Jase are lovely, affable chaps and we should have no hesitation in booking them again if we have another “do”! I highly recommend them. "

"We booked Louie Sax to play a set at a Jazz Festival in a park. He was very professional and had everything he needed so that he could just hook-up to the sound system and play. Louie played the opening set at our first Jazz Festival in the park. There weren't many people in the park when he started but while he was playing people started to arrive, drawn by the amazing music he was playing. One couple were gardening about half a mile away and they downed tools to come and find the music. We had a large stage so that we could accommodate a big band orchestra later in the day. Louie was only one man but he produced a wonderful 'big' sound that got our Jazz Festival off to a great start! I can't recommend Louie Sax highly enough."

"The band set up according to the plan that had been agreed and once the music got underway, the dance floor was packed for the whole night. Some of our guests had never been to this type of evening before and all we had back was extremely positive comments about the band and of the whole evening, which was to celebrate our daughter’s 30th Birthday. The band was an integral part of the night and made the night go with a swing. Well worth the 5*****"

"Well what can I say!! From the first moment we found Emma we organised a FaceTime conversation to discuss. What a breathe of fresh air she is!! Literally after the call we related with her on so many levels. She is such an amazing lady!! There was constant communication all the way through to the wedding day. We had emma perform 2 sets after our sit down meal. We asked if she would sing us down the aisle and she blew us a away and all our family and friends. She arrived early at the venue she was very punctual and so professional!. We literally feel like we’ve made a friend for life and everyone absolutely loved her! We even paid for a hotel so she could come and party with us after she ceremony because she definitely deserved a drink or too! Anyone looking for that something special to set any occasion off with a blast this lady is the one to call! We can’t thank you enough emma! Sending our love!! Rob & Sam Tayler-Waine xxx"

"Emily played for George's 21st birthday in the function room, downstairs at the Spread Eagle, Chorlton, Manchester. We could not have booked a more suitable and professional singer / guitarist. The music was perfect, all the family, especially the very young could relax and enjoy excellent live music. It was such a change. The DJ was able to take over later, but it was the live music that everyone will remember. Emily is confident and self assured with an extensive modern repertoire plus, as a bonus, two of Emily's own songs. "

"From the very first contact, House of Chords were extremely professional, easily contactable at all times and genuinely nice guys. All details were covered for our wedding with great care and on the day they simply made the party happen! The dance floor was full the whole night, their repertoire covers all tastes and they sound amazing. They performed our first dance perfectly. Thanks again all for making our day special!"
