Review Centre: DJ's & Mobile Discos

"Hired the 'Ultimate Party Bundle' to use with our own decks, mixer and radio mike for a wedding (speeches and disco). Equipment was delivered and set up on time and provided great sound and lighting. The package was ideal for the marquee (about 90 guests). Lights and speakers were in excellent condition. Basement Hire answered all my questions in advance regarding connections, cables etc. "

"Big Day Revolution played at our wedding in September 2024 and were fantastic! James was excellent to deal with, always quick to respond and very flexible in the approach. We shared a playlist for the DJ part of the night to give James an idea of the music we and our guests like. The dance floor was literally never empty (we even had people dancing before the first dance when the band were just sound checking). From that moment until 1am, the dance floor was never empty - which was exactly what we wanted! We had 2 band sets, 1 set with DJ and sax and then 2 DJ sets and they created a fantastic vibe! We can't thank them enough for playing their part in making our big day just incredible! We've had so many messages from our guests and they all comment on how great the music was! Thank you all again x"

"Michael was extremely professional and really easy to communicate with. He was able to adapt to a few requests I had and worked with a pre mix of those songs to make the night personal to the Birthday Girl. His set list of songs is everything you need to get a party started and is a fab extra that all guests enjoyed! Would highly recommend - thank you"

"Kirsty DJ’d our June wedding and we had a fantastic experience with her. She took the time to understand what we wanted from our night and delivered an amazing set on the night full of all the bangers we requested, plus her own spin on things. We had a great time on the dancefloor and knew we were in safe hands from the start. We’d 100% recommend Kirsty to anyone!"

"My wife booked this man for my 60th birthday. I wish she hadn't. He didn't confirm the date until a day before. Everything was rushed and when he did finally set up it was time for us to sit down for our meal. It was just supposed to be a disco, but then he started singing. At least I thought he was but the microphone kept cutting out. The music was too loud. We couldn't hear each other speak. Not a good night. Won't be booking him again. "

I'm very sorry to hear you weren't happy. I cant really say much because I don't remember the booking. If I didn't confirm the booking till the day before it may have a last minute booking. Please accept my apologies, at Ginger's karaoke I always strive to give excellent customer service and I'm sad to hear that on this occasion I didn't achieve that.

"We hired Kirsty for a Nineties themed parted at Defence Academy. A consultation was conducted ahead of the event to confirm access, power, and location etc, ensuring that everything was set up in time, in the right location, without having to bother the organisers on the night. The set list was excellent and had been put together following the consultation. Kirsty managed the energy of the room perfectly and the set up was highly professional. Would definitely hire again."

"Brotherhood played at my husband's surprise 50th in January & they were BRILLIANT! They turned the party into an event & friends are still talking about the amazing, talented band. They are complete professionals and made the party. The range of music was so good - everyone from teens to 70 somethings were up dancing. An added bonus is they are the nicest people to deal with & went above & beyond to help me get the music organised. These guys are the real deal if you want a really stand-out band to make your party special."

"Amazing party band Our band unfortunately had to cancel just two weeks before our wedding. A friend pointed us towards Big Day Revolution and we were put in touch with James who runs the music. He informed us that most of the musicians he deals with were already booked. However, he offered to put together a custom band by combining other musicians he knows. We told him our requirements, and he was able to assemble a band that matched our needs perfectly - both in terms of the type of music and the instruments played. He showed us some demos and assured us that the the band would be equally good. We trusted him, and they exceeded our expectations. We were able to choose all the songs we wanted, and on the night of the Wedding, one of my bridesmaids surprised me by singing a Tina Turner song with the band. They were a pleasure to have there, very polite and professional. The dance floor was never empty. James put my worried mind at ease with fast responses. Clearly, he cares about his clients, gives attention to detail and goes the extra mile to deliver what is needed to create a successful wedding. Katie and Andrew"
