Review Centre: Party Bands

"We organised The Cheers to play at our wedding in September 2018, and it was one of the best decisions of the day. I think there are three reasons why I would recommend them: 1. The music is great - The Cheers played a selection of oldies and new music to cater to the tastes of all our guests. We had a lot of kids and they even played some things purposefully to get them on the dance floor with their parents - a lovely touch. They are very talented musicians (with credentials!) and made everything sound great in our venue, even though they only had a short time to sound-check. We received numerous compliments that the band were excellent. They learnt our first dance perfectly and performed it exactly how we wanted. Just fantastic. 2. They are very professional - Our speeches and breakfast overran by about 45 minutes, but the band were extremely accommodating and calm about the delay. They setup extremely quickly to get us back on track and they were thoroughly proficient in breaking down at the end. They brought all their own equipment and everything looked and sounded great. 3. They were very easy to work with - Even though we didn’t meet the band until the day of the wedding, they were extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. Our main point of contact was Ben (the band manager) who was charming, quick to respond to calls and messages and very helpful. Formal arrangements were quick and professional and the entire interaction went very smoothly. Overall, the experience of hiring and hearing The Cheers was faultless. Thank you so much for rounding off our special day with fantastic entertainment."

"We had such fun, it was so good to see everyone happy, smiling and engaged with the dancing. The venue staff were much impressed and had been sending videos to their off-duty colleagues because they were so taken with the proceedings. So much better than a disco …."

"Thanks for your amazing performance at the TravMedia Awards 2023. To sum up the trio in a few words, I would say they are perfect if what you are looking for is authentic, up-beat feel-good songs that any age can enjoy. The acoustics are perfect, and the band are completely flexible with performance timings and with choosing the right music to suit the theme, as well as being polite and friendly… Overall amazing to work with! We can’t wait to work with them again. "

"I must start by saying that both my sister and I realised we failed to formally thank you and your wonderful band for a perfect night last weekend. We both regret this enormously and I only hope you could see through the night what a perfect contribution your band made to it We have had lovely feedback from guests and the staff at the venue said it was one of the best party's they had ever hosted. There is no doubt that a big reason for this was down to Craigi. The music was great. Everything we had hoped and more. Please pass on my thanks to your excellent band members and of course special thanks to you. It was lovely to have you all there from the start and your playing really added to the happy atmosphere. "Crimson Sky provided a fantastic service. The organisation and communication with Rhona was outstanding; something which is so appreciated when planning a wedding. Rhona made great suggestions and really understood our requirements. We had Crimson Sky perform at our wedding; the voice of the frontman was brilliant and the band really added to the atmosphere that we were trying to create. The huge variety Cobalt Sky’s repertoire made it exciting to choose all our favourites; which were all hits with our guests. The fact that the band were open to learning new stuff was also a great addition. Thank you so much for being a part of our day, it really made it the best day ever and I will definitely be recommending both the band and business. "

"Ben, thank you so much for playing such fabulous music for us at our end of term staff party. We gave you the briefest description of what we wanted and you certainly delivered. Everyone enjoyed themselves those who love to dance and others who live to listen and watch. The range of songs were perfect for a mixed age group. You were so good that only half way through your first set I was told to re-book the band for our Christmas party. Thank you again, we will definitely see you all again! "
