"What a brilliant group! We have always had great parties with live music and having looked at ‘The Mystery Machine’ links on this site, we had discussions with them about our party theme, their set & play lists, our preferences, the venue, etc. They were really professional and helpful from the outset & we had no reservations in booking them without having heard them play live. They set up in plenty of time, checked timings & duration for each set, etc. with us & were just brilliant from start to finish. We danced non-stop & everyone commenting upon how fantastic they were & asking us where we had come across them. The transition from live to their background music between sets was seamless. Above all, they have real stage presence – great range, strong vocals, tight playing & energy. They helped make our party so much fun & we cannot recommend them highly enough – they exceeded our every expectation & we are still buzzing weeks later!!! Lyn & Roger "

"The Magenta String duo were fantastic. Communication prior to the event was top notch and nothing was too much trouble. The music during the ceromony and after during the arrival drinks was fantastic and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the playing was. "We spent a great deal of time trying to find the right group to play at our summer wedding, and were so lucky to find Evelyn & the Band. We were spellbound by their demo songs and videos, which they easily outperform in person. Their repertoire is very broad, which makes them perfect for the wide spectrum of tastes at a typical wedding. The band contacted us well in advance to get a feel for the music we wanted, and how they would fit into the programme for the day. After our first chat, they produced a draft playlist, which they were happy to tweak to include a few favourites. They also offered to learn whatever we wanted for our first dance, and gave such a spellbinding performance of it on the night that we had to dance for nearly two minutes on our own before the best man could snap everyone out of it! They brought some fun background tunes to play whilst they weren’t on stage, and were very helpful in explaining what we should provide in the way of power and space for them to perform. They gave a really fabulous performance, getting folks dancing and singing along throughout the evening. We couldn’t have been more delighted with their music, or enjoyed ourselves more. We thoroughly recommend you book them while you can!"

"A huge thank you to this amazing string trio. Communication throughout the booking process was exceptional. I lost count of appreciative comments on the day. The trio played beautifully and I would most definitely recommend their services. I only wish I was getting married again to hear Canon in D played so wonderfully. Truly professional artists. "We booked Dan through last minute musicians after seeing his glowing reviews and listening to his wonderful clips and videos online. His playing was every bit as wonderful as I thought he would be and more. His talented playing and gorgeous voice created a wonderfully relaxed backdrop and atmosphere at our wedding. Everyone said how much they loved his music and I am so grateful to Dan for helping to make our day so special. "

"We first saw Martin at a friend's wedding and just had to book him for our own. He has a great setlist and is willing to learn a song for your event. His stage presence is formidable and he has an amazing unique style that brings a personal twist to plenty of classics. He kept the reception alive and was well received by all guests. He was professional and personable and took great care to give us a brilliant personalised experience. Would recommend him to bring some character to any event. "

"The band (Tony, Marianne and James) were excellent, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect addition to our wedding anniversary and graduation celebration. The band created an enchanting ambiance, setting the mood just right for the evening. They took the time to learn specially requested music and were helpful at making the whole event run smoothly."

"The band played at our wedding a couple of weeks ago and were fantastic! So many of our guests commented on how good they were and it was such a brilliant feeling to stand back from the dance floor and see it full with everyone having an amazing time! The guys were lovely and Lindsay was a massive help in the run up. Massive thank you for contributing to the happy memories we have from the day!"

"Brilliant duo — they have such a wide variety of jazz and pop songs up their sleeves! They worked perfectly as background music and then got everyone up and involved later on. Couldn’t have asked for better!"
