Review Centre: Bagpipers

"Firstly I would like to just point out that I am not one to leave comments and secondly I was hesitant to hire a Bagpiper from the internet…. But my word was Mr Bill James worth it!!! Having served with the Highlanders and being Scottish, with a lot of Scots attending my wedding. I originally asked friends within the Regiment to Pipe at my wife and my Wedding, Due to work related matters, they could not attend, which left us without a piper. Searching the internet, I found a Piper, but again due to commitments, he too could not attend, but suggested Mr James. From the start, my wife, myself and our guests, were amazed. He was fantastic. His playing of the Pipes, I am afraid to say, would have put even some of the best within the Regiment to shame!!! The perfect manner in which he conducted the pipes and himself was world class! His presentation, friendly and very professional manner stood out! (He was even at the Church before me)!! Would I recommend Mr James….? YES…. I would strongly recommend the Gentleman!!! Without any hesitation I will be keeping his details for any further function or event that we have!!!!! Thank you very much Mr Bill James, you certainly completed our wedding! To that we are both grateful. "

"Jeremy played during the drinks reception of our wedding.... wow wow wow! He was incredible, everyone loved it and his set list was perfect. Such a lovely guy too. And the little text he sent on the wedding morning checking in with me was also a lovely personal touch. great value for money, and will certainly book him again for any other events we might plan!"

"Chris played for us at my Dad's funeral in Airdrie; outside the church as we left, then piped us along the road while we walked to the graveside. It was absolutely beautiful and my dad would have thought it was amazing. My dad lived in Warwickshire for 37 years and Chris played "Caledonia" as we walked and it was just so fitting. There were many who attended from England and they all absolutely loved it. wonderful send off for my dad. Thank you. "

"We want to Thank You for giving Ian such a wonderful send off. When we decided we wanted a piper to play at Ian's funeral, we weren't sure if we could get one in North Wales, and as luck would have it we Googled you and Hefin from R W Roberts, Abergele also recommended you. Susie was slightly apprehensive as she'd never heard you play and coming from a musical background she's a bit of a perfectionist as far as music is concerned. When you piped Ian in to Scotland The Brave we were just astounded. The service was all about Ian and we wanted to do him proud - we didn't want it to be too sombre and depressing. It was hopefully about how much we loved him and what a smashing guy he was. We felt it was dignified and uplifting. Your musical performance was just incredible - you could have piped us all the way home!!! Thank you so much again for being a very memorable part of Ian's farewell."

"Hired this guy to pipe for us during our boys skiing holiday. Fantastic piper. Lovely guy with a great sense of humour. Very accommodating and the crowds loved him on tbe slopes. Spud has the personal touch that sets him apart from other pipers. Will definitely be using him again whatever the occasion."
