Review Centre: Swing Bands

"I genuinely don’t know where to start with expressing just how utterly amazing Jeremy and the rest of the band are and how they blow all other ‘wedding bands’ out of the water by a country mile and further..... Jeremy is hugely charismatic, has a way with music that only the most talented musicians do have, and he never fails to get people up on the dance floor... I grew up with music around me and as a musician, I was hugely picky about who I wanted to play on the most special day of my life- Jeremy is musical in a way that only happens when you have an innate natural talent (very jealous by the way!!)- His voice has a richness that envelopes you like the best hug; it’s like sunshine on a rainy day; British honey mixed with rugged tobacco and a Tennessee twist!! He makes you want to ‘shake your tail feather’ in a way I haven’t seen any other wedding band achieve and believe me, I have been to a LOT of weddings!!!!..... Jeremy and the guys are consummate professionals: set up quickly and efficiently; Guage the crowd; listen to your wishes and feelings, and play in a way that will have your guests telling you they are the most brilliant thing they’ve heard in a long while- possibly ever....(all mine did anyway)! They are sophisticated, smooth, slick, superbly polished and have a repertoire to suit all needs- They are fun, fabulous and will make memorable moments where others would not.... They are far more than just ‘a band’- they are engaging, mesmerising and feel like they are reaching out to friends..... Testament to Jeremy and the guys is the fact that he got two known non-dancers (one of whom didn’t even dance at his own wedding!!!!) up on the dance floor- that is some going!!!! As we sit together on our ‘mini-moon’ reliving the incredible music, we listen to his amazing album and again marvel at how he can mould a band to suit small and large venues alike-from just him to a 17 piece jazz band..... We only wish they could have played for much longer even though they played far more than they ordinarily would and ended up with about 10 encores as people wouldn’t let them leave!!! Can’t wait to see them play again- Thank you so so much Jeremy and the Jazz Prescription- you made our day absolutely perfect..... Think we will get married every year just so we can have you back..... !! "

"I wanted to thank you and the band for a wonderful afternoon of entertainment - the playing and singing was marvellous and not too loud so people could enjoy listening and talking at the same time and also inspired some dancing!! A lot of people asked where I found you so should anyone have an event coming up and need a jazz band I will pass on your details. Thank you once again for making the afternoon such a success - it would not have been the same without you!"

"We've had Sonia play a number of times at the bar and it's always a lovely night. She reads the crowd very well and plays a good mix of popular jazz tunes, all beautifully played and Sonia's vocals are warm, silky and wonderful. I would definitely recommend her!"

"Radio dance floor were absolutely phenomenal! The energy, the talent and just everything was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. They were so accommodating and professional. Having only found them 2 weeks before our event I was worried they wouldn’t be able to pull through but they went above and beyond! Kris was so helpful and all our guests loved them. We will definately be using them again in future! Such a fun and entertaining band that got everyone on the dance floor from little ones to older family members. Thank you so much! "

"Matt and I could not be more happy with our choice in having The Jazz Prescription play at our wedding. From the very beginning, Jeremy was approachable and accommodating for our needs (including on the night when the schedule got delayed!), and was willing to work with us in order to make sure that our day/evening was perfect. All of the musicians who came were incredibly talented, and we were so lucky to have a full day and evening of fantastic music as not only did the band play during the reception, but we also had a bass and saxophone duo play during the cocktails and Jeremy singing and playing on the piano during the evening. From the second the band started the dance floor was packed, and everyone has come away from the evening raving about the music. The band went above and beyond to make it special by learning our first dance, and the memories will stay with us forever. Thank you for making our evening so special, we can't wait to continue to dance to your music at Matt and Phreds for years to come! Hayley and Matt"

"We booked Oriana and The Charmers for our wedding in August 2018, held at the Brooklands Museum in Surrey. Having found them via this site, Oriana was a delight to deal with whilst making the necessary arrangements and answering our questions promptly. Our family and friends continue commenting how good she and they were, with their style perfectly suiting the mood of our wedding. Their set-list was extensive, and they even learned the song for our first dance. Very happy to recommend Oriana and The Charmers."
