"Dinner Jazz played at our wedding. They fit the mood of the day perfectly with a wide range of songs, that had all of our guests singing their praises. They were professional, courteous and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a jazz band to make their event memorable."

"Their name may sound a bit cheesy to some but their music is far from that. They are able to knock out standard after standard with an extremely high level of musicianship. When they are in full flight (particularly when the trumpeter is letting rip), one can close one's eyes and be at Ronnie Scott's listening to the jazz greats of yesteryear. The sound of each instrument is well balanced and as a whole they seem able to play at just the right volume for the venue size. All-in-all a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience - highly recommended."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow!!…..What a fabulous performer!!! Iris totally smashed it and was the show stopper for my 50th birthday party She was in constant communication, talking through tweaks and was always accommodating and positive On the evening Iris was super prompt and was such a professional - mingling with guests whilst we had a few issues that delayed the start Her set up was super compact and inconspicuous - my guests didn’t realise at first that we had a singer!!… Iris’s performance was absolutely phenomenal!!…she was sultry, engaging, inclusive, playful and professional - everyone was talking about her!! I cannot express enough thanks to Iris as she really made the evening special If you want a showstopper then Iris is definitely your lady!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Brass Junkies were a brilliant addition to our wedding celebrations. They were a massive hit with all of our guests and we were over the moon with how fabulous they were. The music was perfectly selected for the occasion, the band were very friendly and easy to contact, and the whole performance was spot on from start to finish. Thank you all so much!"

"We were absolutely delighted to have booked the MB's to play at our wedding reception. The standard was exceptional and the band had provided an extensive repertoire from which we were able to highlight our favoured songs. The band also had recordings of some numbers on sound cloud so that we could learn a first dance to the exact arrangement that they were to play on the night. It couldn’t have been easier – in the end we chose to charleston to “I want to be like you” which was fun and went down extremely well. I liaised with Chris mainly via email, but chatted on the phone nearer to the day so that arrangements could be finalised, nothing was too much trouble and the band was a real highlight. The keyboard player was booked earlier to play the piano during the meal and their set up was efficient. The band had travelled from Yorkshire to London to play and they might be making the journey down the A1 more frequently as several guests at the wedding have been asking for their contact details, and all thank you letters have commented on their stunning performance, the dance floor was filled all night."

"Jan, Janet and their sons came to entertain us at Norman's 60th Birthday last Saturday and were absolutely marvellous. Everybody enjoyed the music which was a mixture of jazz and Latin. It was a fabulous edition to a great party, and everyone commented on what great live music it was. They are very professional, arrived on time and played requests as well. We would highly recommend their services to make an event really special."

"I cannot praise these guys highly enough! Chris was brilliant right from the start - great with communication, he worked with me to create a track list that included all our favourite songs, he liaised with our sound technician to ensure everything went smoothly on the day and I had total confidence in him leading up to the wedding. On the day, the band arrived on time and they were absolutely excellent!! Full of energy. We had the full 7-piece band (Singer, Sax, Trumpet, Double Bass, Piano, Electric Guitar & drums) They had everyone up and dancing to the swing, jive and rock n roll. All our guests commented on how good they were. And all this for a very reasonable price. They were excellent! I would absolutely recommend this band and I'm so pleased I chose them!! Thank you Chris and One Jump Ahead. 😊"

Thanks for the great review, Vicky. It was a really fun event, in spite of the uncooperative weather! Some of us (including me) had a bit of trouble finding the campsite but we all made it without too much fuss and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining you and your guests. Just one point. Nobody knows me as Chris. I've always been "Kit" to my family and friends - otherwise people might think I'm a TV wildlife presenter! Let us know if you ever want a goof fun swing/jive band again! - Kit.

"We spent a great deal of time trying to find the right group to play at our summer wedding, and were so lucky to find Evelyn & the Band. We were spellbound by their demo songs and videos, which they easily outperform in person. Their repertoire is very broad, which makes them perfect for the wide spectrum of tastes at a typical wedding. The band contacted us well in advance to get a feel for the music we wanted, and how they would fit into the programme for the day. After our first chat, they produced a draft playlist, which they were happy to tweak to include a few favourites. They also offered to learn whatever we wanted for our first dance, and gave such a spellbinding performance of it on the night that we had to dance for nearly two minutes on our own before the best man could snap everyone out of it! They brought some fun background tunes to play whilst they weren’t on stage, and were very helpful in explaining what we should provide in the way of power and space for them to perform. They gave a really fabulous performance, getting folks dancing and singing along throughout the evening. We couldn’t have been more delighted with their music, or enjoyed ourselves more. We thoroughly recommend you book them while you can!"

"Alice & Friends were absolutely phenomenal. Alice’s voice was absolutely magical and the guitarist was incredible! They made our wedding day so, so special with their music. They were professional, responsive and open to requests which helped to make the day tailored, smooth and stress-free. We truly can’t thank or recommend them enough!"
