"Small Days guitarist Dave Merrick was the master of ceremonies, with vocalist Natalie Davies and sax player Brendan Whitmore joining him for the live songs. Dave unfolded the story at a well-judged pace, with records of Bessie Smith’s evocative voice even drawing applause from the attentive audience whenever they were included. The live contribution was important, too, and Natalie wisely steered away from imitating Bessie’s full-throated contralto to emphasis the singer’s lyrics with an upbeat swing on numbers like Need A Little Sugar and Send Me To The Electric Chair. Brendan Whitmore switched between soprano and tenor sax, the former particularly eloquent on Need A Little Sugar, the latter coming to the fore on T’Aint Nobody’s Business If I Do. All in all it was a satisfying journey through blues history with one of the great women who made the music what it became. I (the bride) was the only person who knew about you as I wanted your beautiful playing of your harp to be a surprise for my groom and all our guests. "These guys are gold dust ! Tony and the lads in Gaslight Trio have been absolutely first class when they have performed both indoors and outdoors,in all weathers ,at all times of the year,as part of our regular street festivals in Bridlington Old Town. Our team would highly Recommend this great Jazz Trio for any event. great sound ,lovely traditional outfits,good voices and lots of enthusiasm every time they play. our visitors and locals have asked for them to return ,time and time again. "Duncan was fantastic! He was a wonderful addition to the day and fundamental to the awesome atmosphere of our very special day. We could not have asked for more! He skilfully contributed to keep moments of the ceremony, adding emotion and structure to the short but special ceremony. Duncan is so skilled and is such a lovely, positive person. His passion of music, quality and knowledge really shows. We were blown away with such talent for the price. Duncan if this gets to you you need to charge much much more, you are pure talent! "Many thanks for the lovely email below - and you beat me to it as was also going to send a note thanking both you, Roger and Adam for the superb music on our wedding day. It was absolutely fantastic! Roger and his band drew some very admiring glances as we walked through the park and when we reached the courtyard of Fulham Palace, all their staff hung out of the upstairs windows looking down on us. I think some even asked for his details too??"

You are such an asset to the community! The orchestral players are such a nice bunch of people to work with and it is great to have many of the same players back over and over again. As usual it was a great pleasure to work with you. Thank you for bringing the Cherubini to life for us. The orchestral colour adds so much to what is a rarely performed work and you did it superbly. We were very privileged to have such a talented pianist for the Tchaikovsky Concerto, which I know is also a challenge for the orchestra to play, especially with only an hour and a quarter to rehearse it! - But we did it and the audience were thrilled - the standing ovation was testament to that. "Oliver has been an absolute dream today, he played his music and sang so beautifully at our christening reception. The music he chose to perform was perfect for the room and occasion and he went above and beyond to make the day extra special even allowing one of the small children on stage to sing while he played guitar for him. Please, please, please seriously consider booking Oliver to perform at your event we certainly would reccomend him to anyone looking for an amazing singer with a great selection of songs and fun personality!
