"We hired W4s to play at our wedding in August 2022, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Prior to the event we provided a playlist of songs we’d like to hear, and almost all of them were covered either by their sound engineer, who acted as a DJ when the band weren’t playing, or as part of the band’s set list. They were extremely good value for money and the quality of their performance was excellent. They were also very accommodating as they changed the timings of their sets to suit our plans, and they even learnt our first dance song and recruited a saxophone player to keep it as close to the original version as possible. We would absolutely recommend W4s and wouldn’t hesitate to book them again for another event – the place was rocking. All the best & thanks again"

"If you read only ONE line of this review...BOOK THE VINTAGE VOCALIST FOR YOUR EVENT! From the initial phone contact with Paula to her saying goodbye on the day, our time and experience was 100% positive in every way. My wife and I were able to choose from a huge set list of songs from various musical era's and genre's and Paula seamlessly organised all our favourites into a cracking party playlist for the wedding reception. By the third song, she had guests up dancing and by the second set, my 86 year old Auntie (who walks with two sticks), was throwing her shapes on the dance floor! Paula absolutely made our wedding day! We had guests from the age of 7 to 86 and we can honestly say that each and every one of them loved Paula's performance. Many spoke to her themselves to thank and praise her and many more told us how impressed they were and that they'd be either booking her themselves or would attend venues she'd be performing at in the future! Paula looked stunning in her classy vintage dress and her fabulous voice entertained our party and the local York residents, who sat out on their apartment balconies with a drink to lap up the free entertainment! What makes Paula so special, is that she instantly felt like a friend and a guest, not a singer we'd booked for our wedding entertainment. Her warm, open and down-to-earth personality, instantly puts you at ease and she has a brilliant Yorkshire accent and sense of humour! I loved that as I returned from the bar with a drink to keep her refreshed during her break, I found Paula sat amongst all my family, laughing and joking. We felt happy to see her enjoying the day with us and confident that our entertainment was in good hands. Our 8 year old son was desperate to sing a duet with Paula and we loved how accommodating and kind she was. Some artists would be precious about their professional set being gatecrashed unexpectedly, but Paula embraced the request and handed him his own microphone! Our family really liked and admired her for going with the flow and making the day special for everyone. So if you're considering booking The Vintage Vocalist and need a little persuasion to choose this incredibly talented Yorkshire lass, let me leave you with this... I showed my son the official wedding photo's and laughed at how happy he looked on his photo's with Paula and he turned to me and said... "What you laughing at Mummy?...I was living my BEST LIFE that day!!" I think coming from an 8 year old boy...that says it all."

"Jeff was absolutely amazing, hands down the best sax player, he fitted in with my party theme (festival) , all of my guests loved him and are still talking about him 3wks later! He made my party and I recommend him, I would definitely use him again. Thank you ? "

They had a really good mix of tunes, they’re professional, really nice and friendly guys. They MADE THE DAY. Whenever we need a band again we will ask for them."

"Jimmy was amazing! He was super friendly and really accommodating. We were quite specific with the songs we wanted him to play but he was happy to be flexible. We really appreciated the call from Jimmy a couple of weeks before the wedding, on the day he was organised and everything ran on time. The music was great and he did a fantastic job! "We had an amazing night thanks to Blue Jewel. Our international students had never seen or heard of a ceilidh before, but after a little convincing they joined in with the first dance. By the time it came to the second dance, they all wanted to join in and then danced for hours. The band were so great at explaining what to do, especially to students who are learning English, and making them laugh - plus playing wonderful lively music! "

The entrance music was incredible as well as the music played during the signing and exit music. "I booked Dave as a surprise for my sister’s wedding and everyone absolutely loved him. His style was perfect for a wedding but he was happy to play a bit of what people wanted to to hear and he even took the time to play a special song for my sister. Everything was professional from start to finish (even the accidental flip flops!) and he was already there and set up before we even arrived at the event. Thanks so much Dave! "

"So grateful for playing our wedding. Really made the day extra special, quality and technical skill was amazing, completely captured the vibe. Incredibly professional, supportive and friendly. They provided all the equipment and set up around the limited times we had (there for around 16 hours in total). Managed their system for our own play list around the live sets for no extra charge and offered to put a playlist together for us to take away some of the stress for the day if we needed. Played an acoustic set for an hour and 2 hour electric. Music was amazing anyway but also played a few requests of songs that meant a lot to us. Reasonable and affordable price, great value especially for the high quality performance and help. Would highly recommend. Really made the day and night for us. Thank you so much guys!!! Five stars!!!!"
