Review Centre: Party Bands

"For our wedding my husband and I hired Taylormade to play their acoustic duo set during the ceremony and drinks reception and then the 4 piece band in the evening. From the outset they were welcoming and more than willing to showcase their talent. Throughout the lead up to the wedding we stayed in touch and they never got fed up of our endless questions! Every time we looked at their website we would play the demos on sound cloud which frequently resulted in a pre-wedding boogie! Unfortunately as the bride I didn't get to hear the 1st 2 songs which are performed whilst guests get seated prior to the ceremony, however I'm told they were incredible and made the groom well up. Throughout the day and for days after, our guests commented on how the performances made the day more personal and unique. What we really liked is everyone enjoyed the music from toddlers to teenagers and to the older folk (who we assumed would take cover in the quiet area but how wrong were we?!). Every single picture of the dance floor is packed full of people singing their hearts out (they also contain some particularly amusing ones when certain songs were played!). 'Cough cough....Baywatch! Most importantly for us, Taylormade learnt Bob Marley's One Love to perform for our first dance. Fortunately this was caught on video because that was one of the most amazing parts of the day. We sang along and spun each other around the dance floor like we were the only ones in the room. I do not have any suggestions about how Taylormade could improve their service and performances. "The band were absolutely excellent. Communications with Rhona before hand were very good and she made sure everything was clear before the date. The band were very professional on the day and it went completely smoothly. I'm very pleased with booking them. They sounded brilliant during their set. Could not recommend enough. "

"The performance from Primed rocked our wedding! All of the guests, young and old really enjoyed the band which was a highlight of the whole day. Whether they were belting out ballads, modern classics or a proper bit of rock everyone was up and dancing. My personal favourite was Highway to hell, maybe not appropriate for a wedding but even Mum loved it. Would strongly recommend them and will book them for all my weddings..."

"Somerset Soul were absolutely amazing. I knew they would be good from the videos, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone has been talking about how good they were ever since. Unbelievable talent aside (I truly mean it- unbelievable!) They were just wicked to deal with from start to finish, true professionals but totally personable and everything you could want! Rebecca is a dream vocalist, and the guys are fab. Top tier music selections and medleys. The dj set / request hour was wicked too and music in between. They vibed off the crowd and the crowd, them! If you are reading this ... Take it as a sign to book them! You won't regret it. 10/10 impressive, i couldn't have asked for more. We love you guys! Xx "

"The day went very well and we were both delighted with everything, including 21st C. Many of our guests commented how good they were. One couple at our bash had met 47 years ago (on the 19th June) and their first dance had been Walk the Dog by the Stones. The band were asked if they could play it which they could not - at the time they were asked. The band went for their break and, when they came back, they had learnt it. The band played the song and the couple did the very dance that they had 47 years previously - what a fantastic thing for them to have done. It made such an impact and the band have my utmost respect for going out of their way to make it happen. The guys were absolute stars."

"I honestly don’t know how I can thank you for all of the unbelievable music you arranged for our wedding. It was all just completely perfect and surpassed all of my expectations! The electro swing band was so much fun and the strings were gorgeous and looked incredible up on the balcony. The party band was absolutely mind blowing, as were the DJ and live musicians. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding where the dance floor has been so packed! We really had the best day of our entire lives and can’t stop smiling. It was the perfect day and a large portion of that was down to you, so thank you again so so much!"
