"I often find jazz a bit too 'disjointed', but your style is just right. I love the saxophone anyway, but you make it so expressive; I have recordings by Kenny G, Grover Washington Jnr., Stevie Jones etc., but I think your playing is as good as any of them. I'm really pleased we came across you! "

"Rachel performed for my dad’s 80th birthday. It was a fantastic day and ever thoroughly enjoyed it. Rachel was very helpful leading up the event making sure everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend!"

"Alfie and the "Hot Hats" were amazing! They absolutely made our wedding celebration. They were very professional, flexible, reassuring and calm in the run-up to the big day - no dramas, everything was easy, and we knew we were in good hands. They turned up early and brought great sound and light kit with them (easily big enough for our festival-feel outdoors event). They played all the tunes we'd requested beforehand for the DJ set, then proceeded to wow everyone with upbeat live playing and singing from their extensive set list that got everyone to their feet. We won't forget everyone sitting down to James's "Sit Down" in a hurry! Alfie was great with the crowd and he and Owen were not only extremely good musicians (we had some professionals in the audience who also commented on how good they were) but also really nice chaps to have around - they just made the whole thing happier and more fun. What more could you ask for from a wedding band? We're so very pleased we found Hot Hats and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Alfie!"

Thanks for being part of the most special day of our lives. The ambiance you create is just beautiful. All our guests commented on how gorgeous the music was. Having you play at church was particularly special to us as a couple and I’m so glad we decided to have you throughout the day at our drinks reception and during the wedding breakfast, we would have regretted it if we hadn’t. The piano shell was also a lovely touch we are glad we booked. It truly was the most perfect day start to finish, you’re both very talented and gifted. Just wanted you both to know. "I was given the responsibility of choosing the entertainment for our wedding and I knew I had found the right group when I came across Detroit Deluxe. Their repertoire of songs stood out from the others as they cover multiple genres without all the modern cliché covers. The vocalists were outstanding and spent time with us chatting after the 2 sets which was a really nice moment. I have had several guests ask me for their details after the wedding. They were outstanding professionals and had people on the dance floor all evening. They suggested us a set list and we changed a few of the tracks with no issue. Their cover of our chosen track by Ben Howard was exceptional and still gives me goosebumps when I listen back to it now. Thanks so much to the band and say no more I would of course recommend them. They truly made our day. "

"Martin did us proud on a very hot spring day. He played a great variety of music and many of our guests made comment as to how much they had enjoyed listening outside on the terrace and the background he created during the meal. We would highly recommend Martin for any function where you require some good saxophone play."
