Review Centre: Violin / Fiddle Players

"Tamilla played at our wedding and was fantastic. We mostly chose songs from her repertoire but we did also have a few requests for her to play modern songs that weren't listed including a very obscure song from the Final Fantasy XX game. Somehow she managed to find a backing track and played the song beautifully during our register signing. The only reason we haven't given 10 stars is because we had a couple of little hiccoughs earlier in the year regarding a mix up with contracts/deposits and slow communication the month before the wedding (although this was because of health issues with Tamilla's family so was just bad luck on our part timing-wise). Otherwise, we would certainly recommend Tamilla as she's an amazing violinist and comes at a fair price."

Hi Justine, thank you for recognizing the quality of my performance on your wedding day, I did try very hard to find and rehearse the music you requested. As you have mentioned, two members of my immediate family had joint replacement operations within a week of each other, and I was a bit slow in replying, for which I apologized, but I think I have more than made up for any hiccups in communication by staying longer than the agreed contract and playing for your drink reception voluntarily and without being asked. "We first heard Andrews ENCHANTING renditions in Canterbury and instantly my future wife agreed the music was just right for our wedding Ceremony & reception at Eastwell Manor Ashford. Problem solved and several cordial conversations later all was efficiently arranged, on our special day he rose to the occasion with aplomb. even the change to an outside last minute Ceremony didn't phase him with such great weather to match his violin, and the mix for the reception later was spot on and enjoyed by all. Andrew is a very talented musician and a man for all occasions Formal or Informal and of course Fun. RECOMMENDED. "

" We booked Claire after being let down by another supplier not responding to us 4 weeks before the wedding - she responded immediately, even offering to come back from her holiday a day early to play for us. She was absolutely incredible (the violin was my non-negotiable for the wedding) and it was everything we pictured and more. I have some amazing memories and videos of my bridesmaids practicing walking down the aisle in their pj’s whilst she was playing for them and won’t forget the smile on my face when I saw her when I got to the end of the aisle. The guests were all commenting on how amazing it was and my sister in law now wants to book for her wedding!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone, she went above and beyond for us at short notice. We couldn’t thank her enough - Mr & Mrs James xxx "

"Absolutely brilliant. Everyone loved the violinist and the music. Jo was spot on with contacting us, keeping us informed of timescale etc. Was a great help in helping / advising us to choose the music. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was very complimentary about her and the music and they said it just was the final 'tick' to complement our service. We couldn't compliment Jo enough. as she hadn't played at our venue before, we advised her of the size of the chapel and she knew exactly what was ideal for us. You certainly would not be wasting your money if you decide to choose Jo. "

"Modern Strings did a fantastic job at our wedding. I asked for a string trio. They followed my instructions to the letter and were very cooperative during the event and in the run up to it. They brilliantly played additional pieces of music that were not on their repertoire. They also beautifully played a mixture of classical and popular songs. All guests commented how well they played and what a fantastic idea it was to have a live trio at our wedding. The trio were smiley and extremely friendly and reliable on our wedding day. I would recommend their services to my best of friends and family and would employ their services again should I have another event. Very well done and thank you for making our special day even more special. "

"Richard is a fantastic musician. We hired him to cover the music for our traditional Filipino wedding and he delivered.
