Avelia offers solo musical entertainment – singing, as well as playing trumpet and flugelhorn, with the accompaniment of lively backing tracks. She constantly adds to her wide-ranging repertoire which includes jazz standards, show tunes, and occasional pop songs (mostly 50s-70s). In 2019, Avelia released a solo album of her own songs – From the Shadows.
As a trumpet player, Avelia has extensive professional experience in many genres, from Classical to Jazz, via shows, funk, Latin, soca, & African music. She has played in multiple West End shows (e.g. Cats, Jolson, Starlight Express, Oliver), on recordings, TV & radio; and toured with Marti Webb, and with Jane McDonald. Yes I can play Spotify playlists before, between & after sets if required. I can choose the music myself or let the client choose. This service should be requested well before the event, and ideally at time of booking.

I'm very happy to play outside. I need a flat level surface to set up on; cover in case of rain is absolutely critical; shade if likely to be very sunny/hot would be welcome; a power supply to the performance area.
Absolutely! Clients are very welcome to pick out some favourite songs, or the entire setlist, from my repertoire if they wish. I am also happy to learn specific songs if required, which would need to be discussed at the time of booking.
